The Witches 1990

This movie is what introduced me to tf, I watched it the other day and got to wondering, did the maid who put formula 86 on her skin eventually turn into a mouse? I always thought it would be a slow tf, and then I wondered if anyone has ever seen a story based off the movie or book.

Seeing the Chef witch turn was kind of interesting for me because it appeared she was trying to fight it.

An old favorite of mine as well. I haven't seen any stories based on it, but there's a few drawings out there, maybe two that I can think of, inspired by it. We never do see what happens to that maid, I guess it's implied she was trapped as a mouse since none of the other characters knew she'd been changed, the good witch at the end wouldn't have looked for her to turn her back.

You know, I always assumed that she got off lucky and only got fur under her ear, between her breast, and where ever else she put it. She does squeak a bit, but I just assumed it was from shock. It cuts away and allows us to use our imagination, I guess.

I've never read the original book. I should.

What images? I can only find this one which appears to be based off of that world, it looks like a bottle of formula 86 on the bed

OMG! I totally forgot about both those TF's from the movie. Now I'm going to scour youtube to try and find the clips...

It was also one of my faves too. I secretly used to wish I could get turned into a mouse like Bruno when I was younger.

Re: The Witches 1990

Mike Ploog (comic artist and storyboard artist for John Carpenter's The Thing and Dark Crystal) did concept art of the effects in this movie. The art book (ISBN 978-0-9966689-1-0) that recently came out of his has a page with the concept art of the sequential makeups for the witch transformations in this movie.

I'm not going to destroy the binding of my copy to scan it, but the book's well worth it if you want really high quality versions of his gorgeous Ghost Rider and Werewolf By Night covers.

I'd settle for a photo if you don't mind.

Re: The Witches 1990

For the people who are looking;

Here's a clip of the climax of the movie, where the witches all turn into rats: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsuIp03FENc

Here's a clip of an often overlooked little scene, where one of the witches who works in the kitchen tasted the soup before the rest and turns into a rat before the rest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9VMxVCdBYo

Here's the clip of the protagonist's tranformation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpK8lMH0lhA

And of Bruno's transformation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rtf8uPmgq0A

As far as art related to this movie; I can only think of two pieces that I've seen around.
There's this piece: http://fav.me/d500r67 which shows the american witches using the potion on a child at their convention.

And there's this sequence by Jitenshasw, which isn't really related to the movie, but was supposed to involve the same kind of process as the movie: 1 - http://fav.me/d653otj
2 - http://fav.me/d653p6i
3 - http://fav.me/d653pa0

I love this scene, I like to think because she dabbed it on her she ends up slowly turning into a mouse. I guess my memory failed me but I could have sworn she looked down her blouse and then started "squeaking out", I would love a story about her slow transformation, her trying to work as she gets worse her terror after hearing about what happen to the witches.
