Robot becoming almost human

This is a new tech demo from Quantic Dream, (the makers of Heavy Rain) I thought this might appeal to some people.

Enjoy!

Re: Robot becoming almost human

Pretty cool and gives alot to think about. I think an interesting twist to all that could be that provoking an intense emotion was the final test and that being self-aware and feeling alive was essential for an android to be complete. Because like humans, whatever task or purpose is given, one should have the will to exist and fulfill them.

But then that's my philosophical position on the subject.

I completely forgot I was watching a tech demo. This felt more like a high-quality short from the Animatrix.

I know they said that this was only a tech demo, but I really hope they work this into thier next game, I really enjoy they way they tell a story & I love this premise. I would hope they get different voice actors though.

That just made me depressed that David Cage was in charge of it. Can't wait to see how he ruins this game like he did heavy rain.

On the contrary I think this is the perfect project for Cage. Maybe through the process of writing a story about a defective robot he can finally discover what actual humans act like.

Or maybe the end of the game will reveal that everyone in all of David Cage's games have been robots all along.

How did was Heavy Rain ruined? The only thing that I thought took away from the story was the horrible portrayal of Americans by foreign actors. I believe it was recasted it would be a lot better.

Re: Robot becoming almost human

It also had a sloppy story and did nothing with its medium. If a movie came out that had a completely miss-cast cast, bad dialogue, and terrible editing, no one would be calling it a good movie if it weren't for those things. They'd call it a bad movie.
