Re: Bloomin Faeries gone?

The thing we need to remember is that the vast majority of webcomics...especially the ones we enjoy...take time. It's a far cry from the old days where we got B&W drawings that were very basic. Today, most webcomic artists really put a lot of effort into their work, and it shows. That's why some of the really good ones even go so far as to have one side for free, and another for their regular fans who support them.

Freebies are nice...but if you go and complain about how long it takes for them to produce...ya need to get a life.

I'm just sayin' ...

Well. That sucks.

Hopefully someone archived it somewhere...

Re: Bloomin Faeries gone?

I'm not asking for details, but why? His comments said 'Personal reasons' but it must have been something really serious to result in him completely shutting down the entire site. His comics were great, the stories were fun, and I can't see where they would result in him being forced to close it all up without any warning.

But sadly, he didn't say and probably won't. Sad to see a fun webcomic die like that.

Kirby was amazing and his output insane, but when you wanted speed, you went for Sal Buscema or Vince Colletta. When they were being paid to be good, they were really good, but mostly they were used to hit an otherwise-missed production deadline.

It's always been "OK" to kink shame. The Internet just industrialized it.

I happened upon a forum called Mysterious.Sexy, and they had a thread involving this as well. Someone there did some "digging," and it looks like Jaycee's real name might have gotten out and it may have endangered his standing at his place of business. Which could explain why he felt forced to wipe the comic out as quickly and completely as possible.

Weird. That forum looks almost identical to the mcforum and some of the cast is the same.

Meps98 @ TGComics claims to have it on their home computer. You could try asking for it.

That is the most plausible reason. He could lose his job and be burned in his domain of work. It was probably not an easy thing to do for him, but he has to in order to keep working.

Re: Bloomin Faeries gone?

A little bit of trivia about BF.

About 6 years ago, Jaycee held a BF art context. Well, I'm not much of an artist so I made him a caption, and since there were only three entries, he decided to award the prize to all of the contestants.

A part of the prize was a cameo appearance in a strip. So it just happens that "the lurker" character is me

Oh and if you're curious about the caption, I'm attaching it below. Be kind.
