I'm not so sure of that. I think it's a combination of

1. Exhaustion, we've been at this too long, my friend.
2. People flooding the markets with complete shit, or at least stuff that doesn't interest me at all. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the two.
3. Market fragmentation. There is so much more of EVERYTHING.

Point 2 breaks down further

1. Mislabeled material. You may read my rants about BE in giantess stories (Yes, boobs grew, but so did the rest of her! Proportions unchanged == No BE). It's hard to filter out the good shit from the bad shit and there is a lot of bad shit.
2. Dunning-Kruger effect. There are a LOT of truly pathetic writers out there who think they're geniuses.
