Segment of a story I'm posting on my partreon site. https://www.patreon.com/Quadhouse You can go there and read it as I finish each part, or you can wait until I finish the whole thing and read it when I post it on Amazon Kindle. Thank you.

Oh, the story is titled "Celestial Bodies."

Kayla was happy to be sitting down. While it was obvious she was a tall woman, it wasn’t clear just how tall she was. But, from the way the basketball team was peeking at her, she believed they suspected her true height. Possibly because they’ve done this before and seen Coach Blanks bring others like her. If only their dates knew why the men were staring. Then, she believed, they wouldn’t be shooting her hateful glares.

Other than that, and avoiding Coach Towns, the banquet was fine. A little boring, perhaps, but fine. She’d rather it be boring. Boring meant nothing bad was happening. It also meant that Allen wasn’t asking her questions about her life. Questions she really had no answers for. She would be happy when this was over with and she could turn back to normal.

Taking a quick look around the room, she saw the other with their dates for the night. A slight frown appeared on her face. She really wished they had told her what ‘special requests’ meant. But, she could see why they didn’t. Who would believe they could change people like this. She didn’t, and they had changed her. After she got back to normal, she was going to have a talk with them. She needed to find out all that was possible. She wasn’t sure she wanted to continue doing special requests.

As she continued to look around, Kayla saw a man watching her. One of the photographers. Why he was watching her, she couldn’t say. All she knew was that it wasn’t like the others. Their stares were those of lust or envy. She couldn’t say what his was. And it was starting to creep her out. She would only have to put up with it for a few minutes longer. The banquet was almost over. All they had left was the after-dinner chat. She’d just hang around the other girls. They should keep her from saying things she shouldn’t.

It wasn’t long after that, that people started standing up. Kayla was a little reluctant. She didn’t want people to be staring at her again. But, she realized that staying seated would draw attention to her anyway. With a sigh, she stood to her full height. She got several surprised looks. It was almost like the people forgot how tall she was.

With a slight grimace, Kayla started looking for her coworkers. Maybe she would get less stares if she was with other tall women. Either way, they’d be protection from that creepy man. Well, they should be. With the way Lisa has been behaving, she’d probably tease her about having an admirer. Although, it would be nice to have an admirer. Even if he was a bit creepy.

Just as she was starting to wonder why it was so hard to find four women who were all over 7 feet tall, she saw Linda. She was standing in a small group of women. None of which reached her shoulders. Kayla sighed. She wished the women were taller. Or that the rest of them were with her. It wouldn’t be so bad being tall among other tall women. With a small sigh, she went to join the group.

“Hey girl,” Linda said as Kayla joined the group. “Enjoying yourself? I know you don’t get out much.”

Kayla shrugged and gave the other women a quick look. “I don’t have a reason to go out,” Kayla said, playing along.

“Why not,” one of the women asked.

Kayla could only stare blankly at the woman.

“Yeah,” another one, a blonde, said. “I want to know too. I mean, you’re so tall. It would be nice to be as tall as you.”

“That’s the problem,” Kayla said. “I’m so tall that I stand out in a crowd, any crowd. Everywhere I go, people stare. I don’t like it. I’m a normal woman like you. Just a little taller.”

The shorter women eyed her height. “Just a little taller, huh,” the blonde said. “I’ve seen people not as tall as you and they all looked like they’ve been stretched in some way.”

The other women nodded as Kayla and Linda looked at each other. “I wouldn’t know anything about that,” Kayla said. “I don’t go out much. The only reason I’m here tonight is that Coach Blanks hired me to be here.”

“Hired you for what,” a brunette cautiously asked.

“To be an escort for one of the guys he’s recruiting,” Linda snapped. “We work for an escort service. We do not have sex with our clients. That would-be prostitution, which is illegal.”

The shorter women stepped back from Linda. “Sorry,” the brunette said. “I didn’t mean to offend.”

Linda waved it off. “I’m to one who should apologize,” she said. “You just hit a nerve. You wouldn’t believe how often we get asked that question.”

“I guess that would be a sore point,” the brunette admitted. “Anyway, my name is Sandra.” She pointed to the blonde. “That’s Amanda. Tina was the one who asked why you didn’t have a reason to go out.” Tina had black hair. “And last, we have April. Who hasn’t said anything.”

April, a redhead, blushed. “I’m sorry,” she said. “I just feel really small right now.” The shorter women nodded in sympathy.

“You should try standing next to the living tower here,” joked Linda.

“Hey!” exclaimed Kayla. “I’m not that tall.”

All the women gave her a flat look.

“Okay, so I am that tall. But you’re not exactly short either.”

“I should have worn some higher heels,” Linda grumbled. “You’re almost 9 feet tall in yours.”

Kayla blushed and mumbled something.

“I’m sorry,” Linda said. “I didn’t catch that.”

Kayla mumbled something again.

“Could you say that again,” Linda said. “But this time, say it so we can hear you.”

Kayla sighed. “I said, that I’m over 9-foot-tall.” She waved a hand at her feet. “These heels are 8 inches tall. So that makes me 9-foot-2.”

As one, Linda and the other women looked at Kayla’s feet. “Okay,” Linda said. “I know I saw your shoes at the office. But I didn’t think they were that tall. How do you walk in those things?”

“What?”

“Those are 8-inch heels,” exclaimed Tina. “I have trouble with anything over 4 inches. So, how can you walk in those?”

“Well,” began Kayla. “I am a bit taller than you. And my feet are larger than yours.” The women all dropped their eyes to look at Kayla’s feet. “Don’t look at them! They’re just normal feet. Just like yours.”

“Not exactly like ours,” Amanda said. “Like you said, your feet are a little bigger than ours.”

Kayla grumble a bit, then looked at Linda. “Why are you looking at my feet,” she asked. “Your feet aren’t exactly small, you know.”

Linda shrugged. “They’re still not as big as yours,” she said.

As if the banter between the two towering women was a signal, the shorter women started bombarding them with questions. Kayla answered a few of them as possible. She didn’t want to mislead them. Linda, on the other hand, eagerly answered all the questions aimed at her. She and been a tall woman often enough that she felt confident in answering the women’s questions.

“What did I tell you,” Lisa told Crystal and Kendra. “She’ll fit right in. She just needs time to adjust to everything.” She and the others had been quietly observing Kayla through the night. Not all could handle having their bodies change in such drastic ways. They had been asked to watch and see if Kayla could. Besides a little quiet freak out in the beginning, she seemed to be doing quite well.

“Don’t rub it in,” Crystal said.

“That’s right,” put in Kendra. “Besides, this is just her first change. And a positive one at that. We won’t really know if she can handle this until she gets a negative change.”

“She’ll handle it just fine,” Lisa said. “Being shorter than my original height won’t shake her like it did some people.”

“It would have nice to have some warning,” Crystal grumbled. “Making you look like an amazon is not a good way to find out about that machine.”

Kevin Fogley couldn’t take his eyes off the towering blonde. Without her heels, she had to be at least eight-and-a-half feet tall. She seemed uncomfortable around this number of people. Which may be what he was looking for to solve a problem he had. He only had to figure out some way to get her to come with him.
