What happened to Mikhail?

Years ago, Mikhail gave me permission to use "Checking" as an avatar. If he had asked me to discontinue, I would have. I never heard anything from him, though, so I have to assume he's fine with my continued use of the work. I honestly don't know how he'd feel about passing it along, though, sorry.

I don't think the "weird porn" is so much of a problem, as the judgmental Puritan hypocrisy that guarantees social humiliation and ignominy. I'm sure the boss who fired his employee over a piece of semi-tasteful TF art has a vast treasure trove of child pornography stashed away on his PC.

The boss's private activities were morally reprehensible. The employee's wasn't. But society doesn't care. The employee just had the misfortune of getting "caught," while the boss continues to sail by on a salary that buys him a third vacation home in Spain.

I also feel these decisions are highly motivated by self-loathing. I'm quite able to compartmentalize and separate my personal fascinations from my family & career. As far as I'm concerned, if moral boundaries aren't crossed, people should let people be. Hell, Robert Crumb practically flipped society the middle finger by turning his personal fantasies into the very thing that made him famous. That's how you beat the world of asshole capitalism at its own game.

Wow, haven't heard anyone mention Mikhail in at least 6 or 7 years. Maybe longer. I do miss his art though
