Lightbulb Favorite TG Story of All Time? (Round 1)

What's your favorite TG story of all-time, and what artist would you want to see adapt it into a comic?

Post as many stories/artists as you want. Top 5 mentions from here and the Tgcomics thread advance to the round 2 poll. For the top story, I arrange a comic commission from the top available artists, kickstart 50% and fund the other 50% (+ fees) myself.

And if nothing else we shared a lot of awesome stories! So to kick things off, my faves:

Tonisha by Bobby although I already commissioned that one...link
The Red Tipi by Tuatha
The Clarenceville Horror by Tuatha

For artists: Cluedog and Kannel!

I'll compile the submissions here. Submission cut-off is May 31. Have at it!

Re: Favorite TG Story of All Time? (Round 1)

One that I have always liked but probably won't appeal to everyone is The Adventures of Lisa and Jerry by CivilMage. On the other hand by far the best I've read in years is the relatively new Of Heros and Villians by Minikisa. A story like that with actual people instead of Mary Sues and laughable caricatures is depressingly rare.

I think the one I'd vote for has been taken down. I don't remember the name, but it was about a mage's apprentice who talks in his sleep accidentally reciting a gender change spell.

The language was awesome, as was the attention to detail.

For a Girl is really, really good.

But my fav is probably 'Merlin High: Nothing but Trouble'

http://www.sapphireplace.com/stories...h-trouble.html

If you have not given it a read already, treat yourself. An interesting modern fantasy world with transformations a plenty.

As for artist? Kannel, for sure.

Re: Favorite TG Story of All Time? (Round 1)

The far, FAR away #1 winner for me is Back to Basics.

I can read that one over and over. The vast majority of 'caption photos' on my computer are ones I made by just posting quotes from that story over photos. I never get tired of them.

2 - Yes, For a Girl gets #2, and look at that...both of my favorite stories are by the same author!

3 - Sheena

4 - Sheryl

Those are the four that instantly come to mind without looking at my folder of stories. I just glanced in there, though, and saw two classics. So here are my runners-up:

The Haunted House by Ed Miller

Bracelet of Love by Stephanie

Of Heroes and Villains by Minikisa became my favorite story as I was reading it. Top notch stuff here, as is the sequel. Delurking after several years just to say this haha
