Best "losing the battle" transformations

This is my favorite type of transformation. But I'm not sure what to call it, and it kinda take two completely different forms.

Form 1: Losing an "internal" battle with your body
I love transformations where the character is trying to hold back a transformation that is being forced on them.

Examples:Wasp in the Avengers cartoon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPP81q_xId0
Sandra from Inhumanoids
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDKyL6y7FZ8

Form 2: Losing the "external" battle. AKA joining the horde.
Scenes where there is a threat of mass transformation and a hero character is lost to the other side.

Examples:
Diana from Martin Mystery into Alien/Lizard
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZUqShldMgE

Lizard Transformations in this Spiderman cartoon (unfortunately only female TF is off screen)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCE64ruoe2w

Are you guys into these? And if so, how about we share our favorites?

Re: Best "losing the battle" transformations

I recall an episode of the Superman cartoon series called "The Hand of Fate" in which Lois Lane gets transformed into a sort of Lovecraftian creature, among many other people. The transformed form is actually pretty unsettling.

Might count as 'Form 2'.

TV tropes has had this as unvoluntary transformation or baleful polymorphism. I also do enjoy this kind of TF

Absolutely. This is where characterization comes through and adds that personal touch.

"Pandora's Tower" on the Wii comes to mind.

I checked that out, and the TFs in that ep are really great. I'm surprised a late 90's kids' cartoon went so all out on the Lovecraftian imagery.

All good ones. Yeah the Captain Planet one is a great example of form 2 when three of the planeteers fall in.

Bruce Timm had a thing for the Cthulhu mythos.
He had the JLU face a demon-god named Ixtulu or something like that; mostly because he wanted to use Cthulhu but wasn't sure at the time if the character was public domain or not (Cthulhu is public domain).

But anyway, returning to topic.
Here's a good classic one from Road Rovers (i think this is what gave me a fetish for monster transformations, along with Wonder Woman in the old Superfriends cartoon)

Boku-tachi no Ikita Riyuu :
People trapped in a school with malevolent entities that catch and turn them into marionettes, which proceed to convert their friends.

School Ningyou :
Catch and eat a "mermaid" (schoolgirl spirits in school swimsuit) to have your love fulfilled. Fail and you become one of them.

Warframe : Orokin's army consists of "corrupted" mooks from other factions.

Kingdom Rush Frontier's Nazeru boss; a giant Efreet who snaps his finger and, in a puff of smoke, instantly turn many soldiers randomly into Efreeti that attack former allies.

モルゲッソヨ (morgethsoyo) silver statues phenomena from 2018 Winter Olympics. Many niche artists portray the statues converting female characters (mostly from Touhou series) into more statues and so on.

Warframe : Orokin's army consists of "corrupted" mooks from other factions.

Warhammer has the Skaven "dreaded 13th Spell" that converts enemies into ratmen mooks. Also the chaos god(ess), Slannesh, converts mortals into daemonette mooks.
Here's a humour sequence with a Skaven wizard using the 13th Spell, normally it would turn a lot of the enemy troops into loyal Skaven soldiers, but it doesn't work quite the right way here due to an opposing wizard messing up the casting; https://www.deviantart.com/eduartbou...ge-1-463755122

NIght of the Demons 3 (1997) - horror movie where victims get turned into demon mooks according to their halloween costumes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8MQouA6M3g

Star Trek: Debt of Honor - a graphic novel, has a monstrous alien race that can shoot immobilizing goo, and cocoon victims, turning them into loyal hybrids https://m0vie.files.wordpress.com/20...ofhonour10.jpg

Doctor Who - the Cybermen are all about mooking, much like the Borg, though they don't do much converting in most of their appearances. Other than Cybermen, there was the story "Inferno" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfJINBvvHLE where a primordial green goop from deep within the Earth converted people into green beastman monsters , and "The Invisible Enemy" where a space virus-like thing converted people into its mooks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFYcL2azyz0 .

Doctor Who episode "Night Terror" where people turn into weird dolls on contact with the weird dolls. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x57sgik
And of course the gas mask kid endemic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iAh4gSsVjo

Halloweentown II - movie. In one scene the bad guy recruits halloween party-goers by converting them into the monsters they're costumed as; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDqqXtZiTtM
Waxwork - Horror/Comedy movie. Victims one-by-one converted into monster minions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbdebLeSOr8
Rosario to Vampire - episode 11. Spider monster girl converts girls into insect girl servants. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unbz7jLYsFI
Freedom Force - Superhero computer game. The god Pan converts women into nymph minions; starts at about 4:00 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClEmdD56nSM

The Puppet Masters (1994), a cult-classic alien parasite invasion movie featuring back-of-the-neck-hugging aliens that completely controls people and use them to spread more parasites.
Archie's Weird Mysteries episode 31-33 has Nosferatu-like vampire that attempted to make and spread vampiric thralls. Spoiler alert: It's an overwhelming success in the last episode, at least for a while.
Ben 10 Omniverse S05E01 has virulent clowning alien disease that spread via bite. The twist is that as the infected become clowns, their teeth turn into toy dentures that can be used as contagious ammunition, with effects similar to that one episode of Dexter's Laboratory.

I thought of the latter two since @prsap19 mentioned the Lion Men episode of Mega Man. It reminds me of the website http://shadowlordinc.com/ that may literally contains ALL transformation scenes in motion-picture media ever existed, which is where I found many of the clips, mostly western cartoons. I did combed through it once, but I'll probably do it again, this time with a more open-minded mindset so that I don't miss anything.

Let me add some examples from old-school spy-esque movies:

Attack of the Robots - a movie by Jesus Franco. People being turned into obedient "human robots" is the main plotline! It has some scenes with female "robots", as well as a short transformation sequence. Unfortunately, the male female character is saved from being transformed

Target for Killing - the villainous organization in this movie uses women brainwashed into mindlessness as staff at their base. Unfortunately, we only get to see a few shots of these women - but there's a bit when a failed agent of the organization is taken for brainwashing and, later on, we see her walking robotically and with a blank face.

Kiss Kiss Kill Kill - another villainous organization that uses an army of mind-controlled female mooks. Many good shots of these women! There's also a moment where a female character is nearly turned into one. She is saved, but she does some feinting later on - so, we get to see her walking around blank-faced.

Aside from these, there is something weirder, meaning...

Danger 5 - in the Kill-Men of the Rising Sun episode, people get turned into (very retro-looking) robot soldiers serving Imperial Japan. Two of the protagonists get turned into these, too - including a female one!

Darkseid, from DC Comics, is sometimes shown to recruit his parademon troops from regular people;
Justice League movie https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/...20180217124911
Justice league: War cartoon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KuPwL9lBHo
Wonder Woman comic, amazons parademoned; https://static2.cbrimages.com/wp-con...=1203&fit=crop https://www.cbr.com/wonder-woman-ama...id-parademons/

Dark Nights: Metal. Aquaman faces a bunch of mooks including his beloved Mera https://pm1.narvii.com/6623/8036f684...438c470_hq.jpg

Doctor Who has more mook conversions than that, I think...

The Daleks are also known to attempt to convert humans into mooks. In the classic series, this was typically imprisoning someone inside of Dalek armor and then letting an extreme body-morph effect take over. In the new series, there is apparently some kind of Dalek mook virus that silently takes people over. You can only tell that people are infected with the virus when Dalek eyestalks burst out of their foreheads. On the other hand, the lifetime of a Dalek after a mook conversion is typically low since they tend to get exterminated by traditional Daleks.
The new series episode The End of Time had The Master using a body modification device to convert the entire population of planet Earth into clones of the Master.

One that comes to mind is an episode from the old Captain N series (based around NES characters) connected to the old NES Paperboy game:

https://youtu.be/0E2Ki4zo6mw?t=899

Basically Mother Brain (the villain in the show) somehow has basically mind control ink that she can use to control people (usually by writing a hidden "Mother Brain is my master" message in the special ink. Over a couple minutes her minions (pretty easily) trick most of Captain N's team into reading messages and becoming mind controlled.

Re: Best "losing the battle" transformations

Mazoku, many thanks for giving me many things to seek out!

Since you mentioned TFGamesSite, I'll add in my unfinished game, The Lust Wars. It has gradual satyress and succubus transformations, along with the occasional snippet of dialogue to reflect changing mental states. One day it may see completion, but there's enough up there to screw arou...play with.
