Powerpuff Girls Z Miss Bellum AP

I know this isn't anything new, but I just wanted to share this fantastic AP in episode 51 of PPGZ. It's only in the japanese dub since the american dub was more safe in terms of its censoring.

I guess that Ms. Bellum have always had that running gag of never showing her face...for no particular reason

Technically she did show her face once in "Monkey See, Doggy Do", but it was after it had turned into a dog's.

Wasn't there an episode (in the American version) where they showed her face, but then it turned out it was somebody impersonating her? So, we were seeing what her face looked like, except it wasn't really her? I could swear they did that, because I have a strong memory of suddenly seeing her face and being shocked they did that, then later when we found out it was an impersonator thinking, "But wait, even if it was just an impersonator, if everybody in the show believed that was really her, doesn't that mean we know what Ms. Bellum looks like now?"

I also vaguely remember somebody connected to the show saying that never showing her face was kind of a joke about bimbo characters, that all anybody every cared about was their bodies so with Ms. Bellum all we could ever see was her body and not her face.

This is one of my favorite AP sequences since it's one of the few that really shows the torso expand with the growth. The only downside to it is that it doesn't have many frames, but the process looks smooth nonetheless.

Which is funny because Ms. Bellum was intelligent (even as a kid). She was only a bimbo superficially at best, and to me that was funny.

I wondered about that with the episode where Sedusa impersonated her, but let's not forget that Sedusa has disguised her face in the past, notably in her debut as 'Ima Goodlady' in the episode where she tried to seduce the Professor to get the girls under her indirect control.

Funny thing I discovered only now in the same episode, though unremarkable it is something. They actually have an AR sequence with her since they have to get the white ball of energy out of her that made her AP in the first place so they zap her and she reverts back though it's more poof then anything, but there's at least a funny reaction she has to it and not a cloud of smoke https://youtu.be/_S33OSjCa4g?t=753
