Are you kidding? that was arguably Capaldi's best season by far. Things really improved when it stopped being the Clara Show.

Anything that can make me laugh gets a lot of leeway otherwise. But I won't just swallow any old crap.

Don't take this the wrong way, Sai, but I've got the creeping suspicion they could have kept the Doctor a white male for another fifty-four years, and some people would still be shrieking "PUBLICITY STUNT!!" if a woman had finally been cast.

Let's also keep in mind Chibnall will probably be a much better showrunner than writer. Moffat is an example of the exact opposite.

I thought the Mistress was written poorly, as well. Then again, the Simm Master was appalling, as well.
