"The Hunted" female werewolf short film
While browsing around, I came across the trailer to “The Hunted,” a short film that looks like it will feature a female werewolf transformation (with practical effects):
https://vimeo.com/189447560 You can see a behind-the-scenes photo of some of the (very light) makeup at the top of the film’s Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/thehuntedshortfilm Interestingly, the trailer/short film seems to be building up to the transformation at the end, and even the film’s “poster” on its IMDb page is an image of the beginning of the TF (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6241560/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_44), so the transformation looks like it will play a big role. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an IMDb update on the project in over a year, and even if it was released, it looks like it would just run at film festivals. Has anyone heard about this project? Was this already discussed here? |

This is definitely news to me. It might be worth reaching out to the creators to see what's going on with it or if it can be obtained assuming it had a festival run. Really nice find, lots of potential.

Re: "The Hunted" female werewolf short film
Small update, and it’s bad news. I contacted the director of “The Hunted” and asked how we could see his short movie outside film festivals, and the short answer was, we pretty much can’t. He plans on releasing it to film festivals in the fall but told me to check the Facebook page for any updates. I then asked specific questions about the TF, and he “ghosted,” as the kids say. I guess I scared him off. Oh well.
Based on my experience with these types of low-budget short films, we probably weren’t going to see much more than a facial change and maybe some claw growth, and my suspicions were confirmed when I found the following headshot photo of the actress in her werewolf makeup: https://www.lizmeinders.com/contact As you can see, it’s extremely minimal. I hope this isn’t the final form of the werewolf, but again, based on experience, it most likely is. They’ll probably throw some fangs on her, but that’s about it. Onward… TLDR: Nothing to see here, folks. Move along. |
