Kasumi and Jessica Rabbit Cosplay
This was made for Smith6x7.
Hopefully, the process can be inferred--I didn't have much time for a before/after set of illustrations. This idea was a random idea Smith6x7 and I had during one of our conversations some time back. We both randomly shot out ideas back in forth and the final concept was about two regular females who, by wish of the author, all of a sudden change into the trademark attires of Kasumi (of DOA) and Jessica Rabbit. The writer seems to be out of any good or interesting ideas, so he writes the girls into doing various things to each other as they grow out of their costumes. Basically, the overall effect of a writer's block; nothing good can come out of it--or can it? I still have this idea put in the back of my mind, so it may someday come into being as a short comic as I intended--due to time constraints, I really can't do much with it right now--but, in the meantime, enjoy this drawing I did to help re-motivate myself as well as others who are suffering from various art blocks and busy schedules. This drawing's time frame takes place after the main "story." This piece took around 3-4 hours. I was pacing myself faster this time and I'm trying to find out ways in coloring that would help me finish the piece quicker than at my usual pace. In effect, I just laid down flats a applied some gradients, keeping it simple so the line art can show through more. Let me know if this is any more or less effective than my older full-color works. I'm still not good with color and I am still practicing, so any advice will be greatly appreciated. Critiques and comments are welcome. Thank you very much for looking. I hope you like it, Smith6x7!
