Re: Alternative to Photoshop

I'm done with trying gimp. The tutorials don't help. I find it unusable.

Yeah if I'm going to buy another program I will just get Photoshop again. And given my budget that's going to be months away.

A computer rebuild is why I don't have any extra money right now.

After gimp, I have no desire to learn a new program. Besides the program you linked doesn't even look like it has what I want.

I want to take images select the parts I want and combine them. With Photoshop I could do this rather easily.

For instance I was practicing with a image of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman. Along with a person base jumping. I used the selection tools to select Wonder Woman. In the other image I made a layer of the person base jumping, after selecting them. I then pasted Wonder Woman into the image to make another layer. Then just scaled the layers to fit and put them in order. It resulted in this.

It's not my best but it was only just a practice run.

Re: Alternative to Photoshop

That's easy in Pixelmator. In fact, the band-aid tool and area selector are better then what photoshop has. Also, you can tweak selections more easily. Check out my shrunken superheroes series, It's all pixelmator:

Not going to lie, all of their heads look the wrong size.

I guess I can look into it more.
I think at this point I maybe to set in my ways to change. Or perhaps I should just give it up.

That's how the shrink ray works. You get short-person proportions.

Don't give up! Change and learning new things keep you alert and happy!
