Don't take it personally. Oftentimes, the lack of commentary is due to a lack of criticism from one's perspective; if I don't see glaring faults, I usually don't feel like wasting everyone's time with the same praises others may post. However, being as this is all freehand - and, being as there's been a stark lack of commentary compared to other works in the same vein - I'll go ahead and say that the art style itself is pretty goddamned fantastic and worth the effort you put into it.

Re: Alice and the Ouija Board

I didn't expect anyone to like it. I've been around this community for nearly ten years - my work was very popular for 2 years or so which gave me false expectations, and went into decline by a series of puzzling steep steps, which have made me a tad flaky. I had a vision for image input for the community which wasn't shared. Notwithstanding individual pieces, I tend not to like Comic Book/ Concept Art/ Graphic Novel/ Manga/ Anime/ Pseudo-Impressionist styles, so I should expect the reverse regard on the various styles with which I work.

I was just after a nod for the effort in a difficult task in a style I don't like, which I now have. Thanks.

That's so kind. It must seem like I'm fishing for praise, but when I have one of these hissy fits it's just because of how I feel - no ulterior motives.

I suppose if I keep it up, I'll get better

Aye. I know it's treasonous to say so, but Flower of Scotland isn't bad, either.

I'm of Russian-Jewish heritage myself, but I lived in Scotland for years, although my best friends and the love of my life were by chance Irish or Irish heritage so I've sang both those songs.
