Well as a preference yes, but only if she's okay with her new form, but if she isn't, then it's probably best she does get her original body back, nothing beats having their original form.

Yes it does, but I hate unhappy characters more. Just because someone changes themselves to make someone they love be happy, but in essence making themselves miserable, it doesn't feel like a good ending, it feels like a forceful ending. Almost no different than the brainwashed endings.
Why is it that you want both lovers to have radically different forms and not be the same either way?
Because as I said before, it feels like it undermines the love but it doesn't mean I hate it or I like my preferences to get in the way of the characters' happiness.

What I'm really looking for is the girl's transformation into an anthro is supposed to make her and her lover love each other more. In essence the change enrich or better their love lives and it shows that the guy is wiling to love her no matter what form she takes even if she becomes a half animal. I want the guy to care for her and be willing to look past the girl's transformed state and still call her his lover. If they happened to make out while she looks like an anthro, then it's a big plus for me, but basically I want them to get closer together during their journey of trying to change her back to normal or another form of declaration of love. I also really want her boyfriend to show her that she has never changed into anything else in his eyes and she's still the person he truly loves, even if she can never change back. As long as she still mostly herself that's all that matters.

Reminds me of the classic story 'Gift of the Magi'. Bojay's version of it was a comic about a couple who both have highly contrasting heights (tall guy, short girl) who both worried about how the other felt dating someone much taller/shorter. Not the same as TF-romance, but it touches on the same concepts you and DragonMaster covered above.

I also get the feeling the web-series 'RWBY' will venture into the same area as X-Men and your series DragonMaster with the Faunus people being in place of metamorphs or mutants. The second season hasn't even started yet, but I think Monty Oum will have later on at least one Faunus + Human couple and dealing with the prejudices associated with that. Personally, my money's on it being the token jock/jerk character Carden and the rabbit Faunus girl Velvet that he and his team were teasing mid-way in the series. Seems like a logical twist to result later.

Battle Scars. Two warriors face off against special werewolves that comes in two kinds, and one of them ends up being infected by the wolves. So the infected tries to make sure she becomes a sane werewolf rather than a crazy bestial one. This is the one that I like the most because this is the story where a mental change is actually fought off. Not to mention that this sequence capitalizes on what I really want to see in TFs and in most of all anthros in general. To be able to show and see the humanity one has even though they don't look exactly like a human.

Since I've come to realize that drawing comics is something I just don't have the time to do anymore, I've considered going the route of writing and selling a downloadable illustrated story a la "Jacqueline's Choice" with my ideas.

That being said, I might just try novelizing my TF romance incomplete comic "Diary of a Breeder". The premise was an anthro-take on the story "My Time as an Animal", though I've had the idea in limbo years before that story was put on Doc's Lab (forgot who the author was, sorry). Told from a diary narration, it was going to detail a young Japanese woman opting to become an anthro husky to basically be paid to pop out husky puppies in a world where female domesticated mammals were wiped out from a weaponized virus foolishly used in WW3.

Her boyfriend is ardently against her wanting to volunteer for the program (it's permanent) because his own mother is one too and he saw first hand how difficult it's always been for a woman to live as. The girlfriend wants to volunteer because...well, that's a surprise if I do try to write and sell this. But basically in this dystopic world the Breeder Program is for women kinda what joining the military is for men (non-draft), but worse in different ways. The girl and her boyfriend have to endure not just the fact that she's got to get impregnated and birth puppies year-round (Breeders have a special weekly estrus), but also certain unfortunate side effects the splicing occasionally gives women biologically and mentally. I'll update this thread if I do decide to do something with the idea.

Thanks! With my writing style full of (too much) details, I'll probably abandon the diary format for just using 1st Person narration. Seriously, how often are diaries written like freakin' novels?

I'll put a teaser chapter here in the TF section once I get far enough in writing this.

Of the ones that caught my interests so far: The chubby Hinata wolf sage is the only one that fits the theme of this thread. To find it you must select Hinata after selecting More from the starting list. Select More again and then select wolf, and then choose to have Hinata running into an injured wolf and taking her to a temple. Finally choose to have Hinata meet with the ghost of the previous wolf sage and continue from here.
