Hada Camera (F2F TF)

Just throwing this out there. A new free online manga called "Hada Camera", with "Hada" meaning skin in English, has begun being released from this April with a chapter per week. From the looks of things, it seems to feature a protagonist with a magical old-fashioned camera which the taken photos can transform people into the person represented in the photo itself.

So far with three chapters having been released, there has been one transformation event with detailed process sequence that had the protagonist's skinny female co-worker into a more developed girl who he happened to take a photo of.

Close... the title is HADAKAMERA -- there's no CA in Japanese. Hadaka being the Japanese word for "Nude."

So this is "Nude Camera" -- there's no good play on words in English I can think of. "Exposureroid" (Exposure + Polaroid) maybe?

There seems to be some MC going on as well, the crush seemed to be in a trance after her picture was taken (?), and she mentioned she felt weird. She can also feel the camera in chapter 3. The coworker / childhood friend seems to have been affected as well, being abruptly horny once she has him alone and safe.

My theory is that it's taking his fantasies and imprinting them on the paper, or stripping parts of her soul away, but I'm not sure. This author's works tend to be somewhat... sociopathic at times (lots of drama, blackmail, etc) so I wouldn't be surprised about anything.

I grabbed the 1024 raws using some silly chrome tricks, but they're not super high res. Regardless, I'll give OCRing them a try this weekend, see if I can get an English translation going.

I am aware of that as I speak and type Japanese as well. But if you look at the links, it says https://www.sunday-webry.com/comics/hadacamera/, does it not? I just wrote what seems to be the official English title for the manga considering that this is an English-oriented forum and all.

But yeah. Your theory about how the camera works sounds credible.

Basically, his bestie grabs the photo to voluntarily transform like the first episode. We see a bit of her shortening hair, and then...you see the afterlooks

Not exactly, she was cute in the first place...she simply transformed into other woman the protagonist knows.
