So I dunno if anyone can just make a thread but like. I suppose there's not really a general discussion thread within general discussion. Which is generally, not really used for discussing things. So I thought I might try doing that, generally.

Anywho, I guess I'm just kinda curious. Everyone has been around here for at least some time, yet it seems like there's not really a plethora of new posts or things. Is it just that all the material found in this kinda environment has sort of shipped off somewhere else? Or is it simply the stuff covered in these forums are sort of becoming a relic of the past to be replaced with new, exciting, or less exciting, let's be real. fetishes, fetishi? Or am I like, not seeing the part of the forum where everyone's talkin and posting stuff? Could be that too!

Yeah, I think it's been too quiet here too.

There were at least two factors that hit us, one being the irritating periodic outages with the site - the other being the former owner and a few other notorious peeps trolling us and causing conflict. And then their absence too made it too quiet. ha

I guess for fetish stuff some are also keeping their eyes on all the other transformational festish sites out there like deviantart and furaffinity.

And for non-fetish discussions, I guess a lot of peeps are sticking to the big social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

Twitter has both actually.

Any way, this is a good thread for General general. ha

My idea, being somewhat harsh, people got old. The Bearchive started in the late 90s and many of the original founders are pushing 20+ years old.

I just figured people moved on, and had families. BE is no longer an important part in their lives.

My biggest things is I miss are all the discussions on how to write a proper BE story (and the story contests- the ones at DA really do not count). Heck- I'd even be interested in reading a thread on how to write a proper MC story.

I see, so kind of a multifaceted issue of basically the style that content is available on migrated for the raw content factor, coupled with the more pointed efforts of outages and the usual internet based drama.

But yes, the lull here is kind of internet wide. I'd have thought the pandemic would have meant a big boost in activity for forums like this, but it doesn't seem to have happened. I myself am rather burnt out on drawing and storytelling too. It's just been a difficult year, and not even just because of the virus. Everyone is so angry and intolerant with everyone else.

Real question here...

Is anyone having a hard time locating the site via Google. I have to rely on an old browser history to find this place.

And I noticed that the BEStoryClub is no longer updating their thread even though new stuff has been posted on their DA page.


Just curious if other have been experiencing this as well or if its just me.
