Re: KrustyTheSailor
Five mins per frame? Great Scott! If my renders go over 30 seconds per frame I get impatient and looking for ways to shave off render times.
But then again, I don't really go for image quality in mine. Still, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you can do with this. |

Re: KrustyTheSailor
LOL I guess it's what you're used to. 20 mins for me seems to be an average, and that's for simple scenes. I expect a good scene to take about an hour to render.
I will be trying out Octane soon. I have high hopes that I can increase my render capacity 20-30 times. I'll report on my progress later. |

Re: KrustyTheSailor
Oh, for an actual scene I leave it render as long as it takes. Which could be anything from minutes to days.

Re: KrustyTheSailor
Your stuff is awesome quality BTW. Not surprised it takes so long to render.

Re: KrustyTheSailor
Hehehe, thanks. I've got render-time shaving taking down to an art.
Pun not intended. |

Re: KrustyTheSailor
That is part of the art: figuring out how to render efficiently. No sense in wasting cycles.
I'm seeing my render times increasing as I push for higher quality. Hope this octane thing works out. |

Re: KrustyTheSailor
Well should you like a donation to help you upgrade any programs or PC components, please don't hesitate to PM me with details man. This doesn't mean I want to throw money at you to force you to hurry up or anything like that, so don't take it to mean that at all. I always enjoy helping out great artists such as yourself that have already proven quite able to produce quality work that you don't mind sharing with our little community. Those types of people are rare and deserve help if they need it. Just something to think about Krusty. =)

A little bit... explicit for my taste.
