I'm saying that I (and the other site editors, obviously) can help.

You don't have to be a highly skilled/experienced writer or a perfect speller or anything like that. If you can come up with a good idea that'll make a visually entertaining story, and if it has enough substance for fifteen pages, we can help you get it into a usable state.

I mean, of course I PREFER scripts that I don't have to do much work to fix, but as long as the actual story you want to tell is good stuff...

I can only imagine.

That sounds like things would undergo a lot of alterations. As for ideas, that is one thing that I have. They just go from basic general outline to, making it longer than it needs to be.

All the past things I have written are really only things I would like. So not much use letting others read them.

Each Small Fortune comic felt to me like a serial adventure. Each issue did an excellent job of completing a smaller adventure arc while leaving us with a "how will our hero get out of this?!" moment. It's a testament to the quality of the writing.

You should also keep an eye out for The Invisible Girl 2, which will conclude that story.
Very eager for this!

Here's why:

Oh you're script doctoring? Huh. That begs a lot of questions. How much of Down the Drain was you and how much was Merc?

How much of any given script is you? I can trust your Scidrams and all that to be mostly them, but that's not everyone.

So when we all start grumbling about the quality of scripts...

...how much of that is your fault?

First of all, who's alt lurker account are you, Mr 8 posts.

You are WAY to salty and lacking to be throwing shade at people.

I do have a question on those who submit to you and the story is fleshed out to a comic. Your name will be on the comic but will those who helped make it also be there? Like "Inspired by" Or something of the like?

Would it be too much to ask you to maybe interpolate some of the sylph stories? There's a bunch that'd work as one shot stories, but maybe they'd require more than 15 pages. http://original.adult-fanfiction.org...416&chapter=34

Well, nobody can make the decision to contribute or not for you, but all I can say is you'll never know if you don't try. *shrug* You know how to reach me if you ever change your mind about submitting.

Well, thank you! I'm glad that at least some people don't feel like it's an incomplete story.

Well, it honestly depends on how much of the work you do.

Raso719, for instance, had no desire to put in the time and effort to adapt The Invisible Girl into comic format. Since I really liked it and thought it would make a good story, I asked for and received his permission. So I'm credited as the writer, and he's credited as "based on a story by."

On the other hand, if you do the bulk of the work, it's your baby; I'm just the guy who does things like correct your grammar, make image descriptions clearer, or tighten up dialogue. For example: anyone who's seen Captain Ash around knows that English isn't his first language. So when he submitted the script that eventually became The Crystal of Size, I had to put in a not-insignificant amount of work due to the kind of stuff you often get when someone's writing in their non-native language. But he's still credited as the writer, because it was his idea and he wrote the first draft and had input on subsequent drafts.

TLDR: If you send me an actual script for a full 15 page comic, you're the writer. If you just give me an idea, or permission to adapt something of yours, I'm the writer and you're the "inspired by."

I'd be willing to look at these and let you know.

Hey I had desire just not time.... which put the kibosh on effort. Like, I held onto the temple for months staring at it in my documents folder wishing I could put time into it.

Fair enough. Either way, the important point was that I asked for your permission (thanks again!) and that I did the actual writing of the adaptation, which is why I was credited as the writer rather than you. It wasn't meant as a knock against you or anything, just answering the question.

Re: Lucky Mallet - Shrink Fan Comics

Still don't know how to feel about this comic.

On one hand, both the art and shrinking are nicely done. On the other the ending action is confusing. It is hard to tell what is happening to who for me. The strongest parts of the story are the beginning, history of the mallet and transition to the diner.
