Loss of voice(LOV)

You sometimes watch or read a manga/anime where a character that never speaks.
Either because they cant speak or they just dont want to.
To the point, I think they`re pretty cool.

I only know:
Disney`s "The Little mermaid" movie
Totally spies episode where a gun turns people into mimes, also takes away voices.

One charm I find from LOV is how the character is focused on image and expression.

The following attachment is from the manga Onihime VS.(which is a really good series).
Dont know whether she can speak or not, but I find her way communicating pretty cool and funny.
Be sure to check out at least the 4th and 5th image.

So if you anything with LOV, please say so.

Ruri from Kidou Senkan Nadesico and Fujiko from Hatsu Inu (manga & anime) rarely speak, but neither is loss of voice.

Kuchinashi from NEEDLESS doesn't speak, she is one of the Shoujo Butai (Girl Troops, Unit or Force), her name is a pun since it literally means "no mouth", due to her lack of voice she writes in a drawing book to communicate which is used as a regular gag in the manga. Compared to Setsuna or Mio she doesn't look as powerful, which leave some doubt as if she is really using all her power.

Even when the Drama CD was released there is still a tag in her profile indicating "Voice (Seiyuu): ????" due to fact she doesn't have any kind of speech. I am not sure if she ever had a voice to start off.

I should have remembered Fujiko.LOL.
You mentioned Nadescio in the doll thread, probably the white haired girl.

She looks fun, I`ll read a few chapters. Thanks again.

I just had a thought. A singer`s worst predicament would be if her voice didnt work.
So wouldnt a series about singers have at least one chapter thats similar to LOV.

There was a series titled Kotoko no Michi written by Koojii Joukura and illustrated by Matsuyama Seiji serialized on the Young Champion, even though it features the artwork of the author of Eiken the story is tragic, Kotoko gets hit by a car on the first chapter, I don't remember if due to this she loses her voice. The series only ran for 2 volumes, even if it doesn't feature LoV, it may serve as an example for a singer series.

And so is every other in this forum, but as I said LOV`s charm is to have the character force expression or communicate a different way other than speech.

Text is how characters communicate in manga. imagine how`d they`d communicate without it.
It gives off a rare unique charm.

Funny, Endless abyss have been releasing Matsuyama`s Zokusei(I know you posted it here before Shadow).
I`ll have a look at Kotoko no michi.
