Yea they blew their load on season 1 with the changes. this show lost steam really fast, turning into your generic 30+ year olds playing 20+ characters in a CW grade show

If Bitten does get a future reboot I could see either Charlize Theron if it's a film or Emma Rigby if it's a show to be Elena.

meh they wouldn't reboot it, werewolves are really out of favor in anything mainstream, its all about wizards and vampires still
