Very nice. On a side note it's interesting how the artist manipulation suggests the distorted proportions of the original text.

Ijust found this webcomic based on Alice in Wonderland: http://www.aliceandthenightmare.com/...pter-one-cover. So far I haven't seen any process, but the first few pages show Alice eating and drinking at the same time, so I guess that she's cancelling the growth/shrink effects an we may see some process in the future. Meanwhile, we can enjoy the story, which loooks very promising.

BlazingBarrager 06-30-2015 02:46 PM

Re: Alice In Wonderland

Huh. It does look promising. The title itself reminds me a bit of American Mcgee's Alice.

I found out that there's a manga version of Tim Burton's version of "Alice in Wonderland." Here are a few links on where I found this information and two of the links show samples from those comics. I also found some images on google from that comic too.

Nothing spectacular but an "almost" growth scene from this YT video about a lovely young lady playing the role of a young man dressed as Alice. Not sure if this works out for most but is sounds okay to me! :D

Oh 2:08 happens the "growth" part.

Most likely not since the original second book Through the Looking Glass didn't have size changing unless you count Alice normal size with small chess pieces, and alive after going through the looking glass.

Honestly, I'm kinda surprised this one even got a sequel. Besides Depp and the growth scenes, this movie was VERY boring. Wasn't really emotionally invested in this thing at all.

Maybe but it made a lot of money for what it was, which is all the studio cares about.

Made a shit ton of money, and I think Hot Topic still sells merch from it, so that explains that.

Re: Alice In Wonderland

Considering how Tim Burton managed to make a simple AiW adaptation in to a war movie and call Wonderland Underland the sequel is going suck massively. I didn't mind an 8 foot Alice walking around in the first movie but it pretty much took a massive dump on the book in favour of visual effects over story telling. Alice Through the Looking Glass will probably be some sort of movie about the Queen of Hearts starting a rebellion within Wonder...I mean Underland, so Alice has to use a Looking Glass to go back there but the mirror is actually a portal to different realms. Lot's of CGI, poor acting, and plenty of Johnny Depp. Another classic fairytale lost to the money making idiots. :(

Highly, highly doubtful :/ Even though it's what most of us care about. Not to say anything bad about Alice in general, but when I see Alice in anything, I expect there to be tons of size process.

Unless they totally change the story again its not likely. there was no size changing in the Through the Looking Glass book (the sequel to Alice in Wonderland). Even in Alice in WOnderland there is only really 4 main (and a few minor) size changing scenes, 3 if u don't really want to count the one after the caterpillar with the mushroom since that was only mainly her neck at first.

Thats true... :D

Then again I have never seen a version that had been completely faithful to the original book. They all have scenes missing and most have characters from Through the looking glass also included.

Maybe instead of an unnecessary chosen one/prophecy story, they go with another incredibly trite plot that has been made stale by any one of the many young adult books of today. Because it worked so well last time...

They're definitely going to go with the "ancient aliens built everything" plot this time around.

They could yank the plot twist from Zenescope's Return to Wonderland, which could actually be an improvement.

My comic based on Alice In Wonderland has finally got a solid release date on GTS Fan Comics. The comic is about a woman named Laura who is afflicted by the Wonderland curse which causes her to grow and shrink every time she eats or drinks.

Just found this on Pixiv. Hope it's worth sharing here, as the dress is close and she had to have just grown that large.

As for the aforementioned comic? I'm not that enthused. From the preview alone, the growth process seems too quick for my taste.

Also I'm not sure yet. I am picky when it comes to speed of growth process, but it looks good enough to at least give it a try. Maybe someone will get it and give us a review. But I think I'll still get it regardless.

I think that was more along the lines of a giant magical chessboard, not SW. As we saw in the last film any change in size results in embarrassing implied nudity and a change of clothes for Alice. No such thing in this case, she has the exact same clothes on throughout the trailer. So I would not go into this looking for anything like we had last time.
