I'm not GenYun, but I will chime in and say that while I appreciate what we're being given, the CGI has a definite TV-budget look--no one's going to mistake these for real wolves (the fur occasionally looks like it's made from scales instead of hair). But low FX budgets can't be helped, and we'll have to be grateful that the show has an actual transformation scene in the first place, rather than the one-second morphs on
True Blood or the 90%-offscreen TFs in
Vampire Diaries. That crap is what you usually get when "real wolves" are used as werewolves. In
Bitten the wolves won't look real, but at least we'll get to see them transform.
