Re: Female Transformations in Books
well i know two books of intrest
the first is a forgoten realms book that i beleve is called tales of the underdark. it has a female to drider TF (half dark elf half spider) the other book is the basis for my love of TF. "In the Face of My Enemy" i do not rember the author. now all the TFs are from male perspective but it has at least one TG seen and is a must read for a TF fan if you ask me. the basic plot is that a stoneage native american shaman get high on a moutian and space aliens kinda land on him. To make up for it they give him total control of his cells. he spends the rest of the book trying to figure out what happened to him and where he got his ablitys. with total controle of his cells he is imortal so the story takes place over the entieraty of human history. Trust me and go get a copy. |

Re: Female Transformations in Books
I mentioned the book before, but "Mike and the Magic Cookies" is a nice illustrated one. A boy turns into a rabbit, his father into a frog, his sister into a pig, and his mom into a chicken. It's very much a children's book, but it shows the family at different stages of their transformations, and has mental transformation which I why I like it.

I haven't read that book since high school (5-6 years ago)! If I recall, this one wasn't all that bad. Maybe I'll buy myself a copy someday.... |

Re: Female Transformations in Books
How is it possible than in this entire posting no one has mentioned nearly EVERY Jack Chalker book ever written?
In the Four Lords of the Diamond (quad)atrily Charon: A Dragon at the Gate (Volume Three of The Four Lords of the Diamond) There is a lot of transformation. It has been a very long time since I read it but I think it had slow descriptions unlike his Well World that are literally flash transformations. ![]() |

Re: Female Transformations in Books
Books I have enjoyed:
Women Who Run With the Werewolves ed. Pam Keesey A self-explanatory anthology. Naked Brunch by Sparkle Hayter A comedy about a mousy secretary who finds out she turns into a werewolf on nights fo the full moon. Sharp Teeth by Toby Barlow An epic poem in blank verse about warring factions of werewolves in Los Angeles. Lonely Werewolf Girl by Martin Millar A comedy of manners centering on Kalix, a troubled Scottish werewolf and her werewolf clan. I have but have yet to read: Nadya by Pat Murphy The main character is a werewolf in 1830s frontier Missouri Kitty and the Midnight Hour by Carrie Vaughn Kitty Goes to Washington Kitty Takes a Holiday Kitty and the Silver Bullet The title character is a DJ and secret werewolf who starts a call-in advice show for supernaturals. |

Re: Female Transformations in Books
Is there a decent TF "scene" in Naked Brunch? I've come close to buying it a couple of times, but never pulled the trigger and maybe knowing there's a decent TF might get me to finally bite (yes, pun intended.)
