Female Transformations in Books

(I did not find any threads about the subject when I did a search a few minutes ago. If a thread of this nature already exists I'll remove this topic)

I would like to compile a list of books that involve or at least include female transformations. So far I don't know of too many, but I'll list the ones I do know.

First three by Kelley Armstrong involving a female werewolf.
Bitten
Stolen
Broken

R.L Stine had a few that I can recall, kid stuff though.
Night of the Werecat for one had a girl who turned into a cat every night at midnight and until sunrise. I probably shouldn't even mention the goosebumps series.

A Taste of Darkness (forgot the author, I'll edit it in later) is one I heard about that involves a woman who is a were-sabretooth tiger. Though I don't know the extent of the TF content if any, but I ordered a copy just to see.

Another one I heard about was called "The Goblin Tower" supposedly has a female were-snake and the TF is supposedly fairly descriptive. I too forgot the author for the moment but will edit it in later.

Most recently though (and discussed in another thread) is John Tigges "Venom" where in a woman slowly and painfully transforms into a cobra.

Please feel free to add to the list, I certainly will keep adding them as I find out about them.

1. The Council Wars series by John Ringo starting with There Will Be Dragons has a few. http://www.amazon.com/There-Will-Dra...2144993&sr=1-1
2. Almost any book by Jack Chalker has a TF or TG in it. Go with Well World to start. http://www.amazon.com/Midnight-Well-...2145028&sr=1-1
3. Interesting Young Adult series it has lots of Panther TF's in it. http://www.amazon.com/Dream-Year-Cat...2145072&sr=1-1

Of course there's always http://metamorphose.org/ which lists a few zillion more :P. Although I can speak from my own experience that those three series I listed are awesome.

I really liked "Blood and Chocolate", which had an okay detailed one in one of the first couple chapters.

Thumbs up My fav

Cat Scratch Fever by Bruce Richards
http://www.amazon.com/Cat-Scratch-Fe.../dp/0821749811

This one is a personal fav because it was the first TF book I read in my life. And I think this and animorphs got me into TF. The detail is nice and the storyline aint half bad either.

Heh, the site I use to order books from didn't have a copy of Tales of the Unexpected in the U.S to ship, it would have to come from the U.K and take a month to get here.

Before I commit to that, are the TFs in it very detailed at all? They're not like "poofs" are they?

You might be referring to The Fairy Rebel, but I'm not sure. I remember reading somewhere about a book where a woman's life improves after she moves to Paris and begins turning into a pig. It was definitely NOT a book for kids.

There's the "Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter" series which has were-creatures in it. Though I don't _think_ it includes detailed female-tf's, I have read a couple of interesting fanfics that do: http://pommedesang.com/efiction/view...5051&warning=5

And: http://pommedesang.com/efiction/viewstory.php?sid=5761

This is my first post and after this I'll probably go back to lurking but first, two things:

Anamorphs, a whole series about teenagers turning into animals to fight aliens.

What actually got me to comment though was thinking back to a short story I read in middle school about a man turning his baby daughter into a human bee hybrid. I remembered finding it in an Alfred Hitchcock short story collection and when I googled it I found it was written by the same person, Roald Dahl, who wrote "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", "James and the Giant Peach", and "The Witches" all of which contain a good amount of transformation.

of (Tales of) The UnExpected

Alligator Alley-little mid stream tf,mostly Al Gore stuff
http://www.comics.org/details.lasso?id=36004

A Wild Tale in #219 is probably the girl >> alien ,which has a better tf then Alligator Alley, but better for the story then the tf
