Just delurking for a moment to post this up. I only remembered that this show existed let alone had a pretty good growth to giantess and then shrinking to normal. Enjoy!

Re: Skysurfer strike force giantess
Yeah, I remember this one. Pretty good stuff for being a kids show back then. In retrospect the shows meant for kids in those days were way better about transformations, and fan service, and fan servicey transformations than we ever see these days. Newer shows are way tamer. At least in western animation, thankfully anime has gotten more pervy if anything.

Re: Skysurfer strike force giantess
Says who? If nobody watching liked that, it wouldn't happen so often. Plenty of people like the idea of strong women dominating men. Otherwise there would be no such thing as a dominatrix. By extension we couldn't have She-Hulk or any fictional amazon type characters at all. So yeah, plenty of the viewers like that just as much as the writers must have, that was their target audience apparently.
Not everyone's thing I guess. |

Anyone know which season/episode this was? Would be cool to get a nicer, higher-res version somehow.

Re: Skysurfer strike force giantess
The problem isn't that there are strong women; it's that they're NOT strong woman. They are first and foremost objects of fantasy who exist to be ogled and to pleasure men, and rarely have any point outside of that. They are strong only because it attracts men. Any "strength" or "character development" they may show is constantly undercut by the overwhelming push to make them a sex object. See the greater problem of Strong Female Characters.
To try and compensate for this obvious fucked-up adolescent droolery, creators of anime then feel the need to make their characters "serious" by adding cliched backstory and put them through a series of old, rotted tropes masquerading as plot. Then because these structures are so flimsy, this nonsense gets stretched out for ages, and the pacing of most of this sort of anime is fucking glacial. It's all "Tits!" "Hey we gotta excuse these tits lets taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalk" "Tits" "TAAAAAAAAAAAALK" Poorly choreographed swordfight with tits swinging everywhere. "TAAAAAAAAAAAAALK about the moral of stupid swordfight" Then some shows are all lets have tits bouncing during the talk, isn't that cool? NO IT IS NOT BECAUSE HOW THE FUCK DO YOU TAKE BOUNCING TITS SERIOUSLY YOU ARE WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME! Now obviously, this doesn't apply to all anime, and since I'm posting on a pornographic site it's a little hypocritical of me. I like women, I like looking at women, I like sex and kink and all that. But there's a time and place for that in reality, and there's a time and a place for it in entertainment too. Some things are about explosions and spectacle and oohhiing and ahhhing, some things want to make people feel something, others to make them think, and still others just want to make you cum. That's all fine, but anime tends the blur the line, which in turn causes problems with gender representation, where people start thinking porn objects are actually "strong women". And in case this drunken raging lurker rant didn't make that clear: Anime characters are NOT strong women. |

Me thinks you've been watching all the wrong animes. It's not all sword fights and big bouncing tits. Your rant doesn't even take into account any female characters that don't have huge bouncing tits. It's not like Queen's Blade or High School of the Dead are the standards. |

I must've missed the part where Japan stopped being a latent patriarchy.
