Great actors but the special effects really killed any serious tone to it. Okay sure, it is an adaption made to be as close to the games as possible. This doesn't mean that an upper cut needs to include a flaming punch. I would like to see the fight without these with exceptions to techniques such as the hadoken.

Ryu's main focus is the Hadōken, while Ken's is the Shōryū-ken, hence the flames. While they both share these abilities, they've been made noticeably different as the series progressed.

And, to have a fight with only the Hadōken, you will get The Legend of Chun Li.
