If anything I would say it actually gave me a reason to keep reading the series, just to find out how he gets to that point and what happens to the rest of the people.

I tend to get bored reading a book if its a huge ass thing (never mind the fact this series has multiple books that are huge) and need something to give me a kick in the arse at some point to finish it.

Only "spoiler" that I have actually mentioned that got someone pissed off though was this one... King Kong dies. Seems one of my siblings didn't know this and was really angry at me for it, much fun was to be had afterwards though as I began to point out all the other obvious spoilers (The titanic, Passion of Jebus, Darth Vader being Lukes Father and so on).
