Re: McCain bashed by Paris Hilton
He (GH) already answered that, moved to Saudi Arabia in the time it took the UN security council to bicker over what should be done over Iraq. There is no way to confirm or deny this, so discussing this further would simply be discussing what we think happened.
I assume your referring to the inmate treatment thing from awhile back? The incident that got a bit of media attention where the guards humiliated the inmates by (im not sure if that was even in GB, but i dont remember where it was) all of the gaurds involved have been tried and convicted as any other criminal. As for 'bad food, dirty cells and little physical activity' that people have been complaining about lately, have you seen a maximum security prison? Its not a summer camp. And there have been a small number of suspected terrorists tried in normal courts. I remember reading about one guy who was found not guilty because he hired one of the best lawfirms in the country, and was released back to his home country, where he suicide bombed a hotel less than two weeks later with two others (and while he injured a few tourists he really only slaughtered his own people). In courts stateside enough money will buy you freedom, Guantanamo is a way to ensure things like that dont happen. The only thing i hold against GB is that people arrested here are sent there without due process. Anyone arrested here, especially a citizen, should have to go through the normal due process that every other citizen does. Because just like every other prison not everyone arrested or suspected is guilty so we should never deny our citizens due process. Suspects arrested in Iraq arnet arrested by the police, they are usuealy arrested in combat after the fighting if there are any survivors, and arent protected by any due process laws from that country either. But i have a question for you. You have said that the soldiers, for some reason, just want to kill Muslims. Then why have a place like Guantanamo? Why arrest them when you can kill them? Why spend hundreds of thousands of dollars extra to make bombs that find the correct target instead of building cheep explosives and level the whole country? It would be cheaper and kill more, and you say we are there for money and to kill, so something dosent match. Quote:
Also our 'heros' dont have built in Osama finders. Would be handy though wouldnt it? Quote:
And you think people should kill someone because of their opinions? Thats a good reason to kill? And if you dont think its a good reason, why mention it as if it is? You say that Argentina's citizens would want him dead and would kill anyone on his side, even if they have no connection to him... Yeah, those are people ill listen to and feel sorry for. Instead of hating our corrupt politicians, shouldnt they worry about theres anyway? Last edited by shadowfox586; 08-11-2008 at 04:22 AM. |
