A Wild Tale in #219 is probably the girl >> alien ,which has a better tf then Alligator Alley, but better for the story then the tf

"Dances With Werewolves" by John Peel. A very good, detailed TF of an older teenage girl into a werewolf. The TF is about 2 or 3 pages long. This is one of the best TFs I've ever read in a book. I think there's a few other minor TFs, but the first one is worth the price of admission.

Also good is "The Werewolf Chronicles" by Traci Briery. A woman gets bit and starts TFing under the full moon and spends most of the novel trying to stop it/prevent her TFed self from harming anyone or anything. It's actually a pretty good book and some pretty good TF scenes. There was a very subpar sequel. Mostly subpar due to a lack of TFs from what I remember and because she was taught to control her change. Personally, not my cup of tea in a werewolf novel.

One of the books in David Edding's Belgariad has a scene where a woman is transformed into a large snake, and there was a semi-decent dragon TF in Kaz the Minotaur from the dragonlance series.

Ah, wiki says that book in the series with the snake TF is called "Queen of Sorcery". Could you go into any detail about that TF? It's not just a poof is it?

Not really...it's short, but describes her legs joining, scales growing and her face changing, as well as her body getting longer, if I remember right (been about 3-4 years since I last read it)

Thank you. It was better than the snake TF in The Goblin Tower at least.

Monster by Christoper Pike has some implied TF.
You more see more of the mental effects as they are occuring and as her senses are changing, and her sort of "comming form" hinted at, as well as at the end.

One of my old favorites.

Wren's War, I read this book when I was probably about 15 and it's what got me into the whole TF thing. The main character gets a gem that lets her turn into any animal she wants (she usually chooses a birds, go figure)

Which reminds me of Mail-Order Wings, which I read when I was about 10 or 11; it involves a very slow transformation of a girl into a bird.

I also remember reading another book by the same author called Fifth-Grade Magic; I remember it having a very good physical description of what it feels like to be magically bodyswapped, but I don't think it contains any process material per se. I see there's also a sequel called More Fifth Grade Magic, but I can't comment on that one.
