Everyone has fetishes. I don't care who you are, there's something that turns you on. For some people, it's a "domination" fetish. Now, if you've been around the internet, images of black leather, bindings, gimpsuits, and whips just flashed into your mind. That's if you take it to the extreme. Some people just like to be held down, or to have other people have their way with them. They're still being dominated, just... not as much.

Still, everybody's going to have a turn on, or even multiples. It was looking through some of the wierd stuff in h-manga/hentai, as well as some of the fur communities, that really made this obvious to me. Imagine if you had the power to see what someone else's kink was, just by looking at them. I for one think it'd be kind of fun, but you have to realize there are some incredibly wierd tastes out there.

The way I see it, as long as nobody's being dangerously hurt, since some people really do like a little pain, then do your thing. As long as there's no children involved, that's your taste. Just don't try to push it on other people. And unless you're in a forum that's supposed to be cattering to those tastes, don't complain if it's not meeting your wants. That's why I get bothered when people complain about not enough ripping or the like. It may not be meeting your wants, but maybe other people don't want to see what you do.

I guess it's a little like religion. Everyone has the right to believe in their own man, men, woman, women, people, or things in the sky. Or their right to believe that there's nothing governing reality. So long as you don't push your tastes on me, I won't push back, and I'll respect that your tastes are different from mine.

That being said, PrBlahBlahtson is actually not used much on the internet. If you see it, you can count on it being me. And you'll pretty much only see it within the fetish community. As for my other name(s), they also tend to be unique. But you won't find them anywhere near our havens. While I practice tolerance of pretty much everything, I recognize that many others do not and take steps accordingly.

Here is how you avoid the nightmare scenario. Do as I do.

First, make everyone think you are awesome. I did that, and apparently most people think so.

Then come forward and tell them about your fetish, don't make it appear too random though, just when the situation comes appears. Then when someone tries to insult, act like you don't care.

Also, avoid forums and websites packed with idiots.

Use IRC for crying out loud.
