I have been meaning to get to them. I still have to figure out how to reduce the size and be able to cut segments and keep the sound.

I am doing it right, but it is just not working out.

Lightbulb I got an idea Sutibaru!

If you have Windows Movie Maker you can reduce & edit it during in "Save to Computer". It will for me if I have a big file that needs to shrink down to size.

If the movie is encoded to an mpeg or other compressed format you have to convert it to a raw first. I have a link to the free tools that will do that for you but be forwarned once you uncompress it a 30 sec clip is large but once it is uncompressed you can recompress it to any size you want. I do it all the time when I am working on Anime Music videos and fansubs. Let me know if you want help Sutibaru I would like to assist you if I can. I am not artful but I am a tech head.

I think I can figure this out by myself. Thanks anyway. If I do have trouble, I'll ask.

I notice that people on ebay italy have the "I Bon Bon Magici di Lilly" version of "Marvelous Melmo" for sale all the time, BUT JUST TO ITALY (or EU)! It's cheap too. I get the impression that Italians are very into themselves only these days.

It makes sense because that is the Italian version of the series. The version that I have downloaded on emule. (I am working on the clip)

More titles can be found here:

I'm posting this partly to keep this thread alive, but I was slightly surprised to see Tezuka's Kimba on the dollar DVD rack in Walmart tonight. Kimba is widely available on DVD as is Astro Boy, but the foreign DVD manufacturer managed to put together a small Kimba DVD for a buck, perhaps without the Tezuka company's permission. I wonder. Very few other Tezuka anime is available in America, including, of course, "Marvelous Melmo" (aka "Fushigi na Merumo" or the Italian "I Bon Bon Magici di Lilli" - or Lilly). A few other ancient anime titles have shown up in the imported super cheapie dollar DVD bins in Dollar stores and at Walmart. One can hope they might get around to Melmo. I know it's a dopey dream, but who knows? I am pretty sure there was a stab at an English language version, since I saw a reference to it being for sale years ago on the groups.google.com newsgroup archive. If there is anyone who has buds in Italy and wants to make a few bucks, buy the Italian version from Italian ebay (usually the equivalent of 8 to 15 dollars) and sell it to AR/AP fans in America for 50 or more. To get it from a japanese importer costs about 300$. Actually it's no real biggie, but I'm just mad that there are so many things like this that are hard to get here, but are apparently a dime a dozen elsewhere. And why is Italy so hard to buy from? And what happened to the old days when we saw so many European movies come over....?

Oh, well, just a rant. Carry on...
