There was one film in which sea louses hung to godzilla that mutated and grew giant on him attacked by detaching from him. Sorry but other than the concept, Cloverfield is lacking originality in my eyes.

to be fair, there aren't very many ways to really make a giant monster movie original.

The fact that you called the concept original is likely more than you'll see of any of them. I'd give the presentation originality, but that's about as far as you can get for it in that particular genre.

Yes but I know of many people raving about how original of a film it was. Therefor why I must say it is not.
