How about get a girl really fat and then work of everything except the chest area. Would that work?

Not really, weight loss doesn't tend to be area specific.

Hormones are a bad idea, really. Good way to give the girl cancer...

I've heard people - though, it's purely anecdotal rather than empirical - say that induced lactation led to an increase of a couple of cup sizes... of course, that takes considerable dedication.

Realistically, we're better waiting for the Japanese to perfect their stem cell boob job.

Hypnosis can increase breast growth as well. Not a huge amount, but typically firmer and 1-2 cup sizes.

This is in the same vein as "thinking" they are growing, but hypnotic trigger are set so you think about it subconsciously and consciously more often and "feel" them get bigger.

There have been documented cases of breast growth through various methods; one is hypnosis/placebo (placebos, of course, basically being a form of 'self hypnosis), another through 'herbal' methods. (Which, personally, I believe to also be a placebo effect.) The biggest 'giveaway' for any sort of placebo effect, of course, being the extremely wide variation in results.

Interestingly, however, is work going on right now in Japan, using Lipotransfer technique. Literally, this is the injection of adipose (fat) tissue from one part of the patients body to her breasts! While there are still problems to be worked out, and a relatively small 'upper limit' for each individual procedure, the amazing thing about the final result is that, when it works perfectly, the adipose tissue is basically 'grafted' into the surrounding tissue of the breast. For all reasonable purposes, her breasts are 'real', as there is absolutely no foreign material in them! At this point, you could then perform a second procedure in order to increase size even more.

That is/was a major problem with... (*ahem*) 'The Process', overall. However, the specific web-site I mentioned, and a couple others I could direct you too, are the 'leading edge' of lipotransfer technique. To quote: " Postoperatively, no indurations, such as calcification or fibrosis, were found in any cases, either clinically or with computed tomography."

In short, the incident of necrotic tissue - 'dead cells' - was so low as to leave no noticeable effects. Sounds to me like they're getting on top of the problem...

...Actually, this isn't at all surprising to me. It sounds like a good idea, but then comes the problem of vasculature...Transporting tissue from one area of the body doesn't necessarily do a good job of preserving the blood vessels in that tissue (as far as I know). Without a network of blood vessels or some sort of nutrient bath, you can't really support living tissue. And the body doesn't like using the nutrient bath method because it makes it harder to extract cellular waste products. But, you know, once they get that problem nailed down, liposuction can have a secondary function...

(As a side note, tumors DO use the nutrient bath method since their network of blood vessels are often chaotic and malformed, whereas the rest of the body's blood vessels have a definite order. This is why Chemo doesn't always work, since the drugs have a difficult time penetrating the tumors wacked out vasculature, and tends to do so unevenly)
