Re: BE Story Club Presents: Spells R Us #4
I guess I should just greenlight this really long comic script he just sent me then...
Yeah, Bill is a very talented writer - not to utterly destroy the morale of any other new writers... but I think he's the only person in recent years in the BE scene who has made an impression in terms of writing. Although, I could be overlooking some people... I don't check TOB quite as diligently as I used to. |

Yopu haven't been missing a whole lot, Proph. There are occasional writers who have some real gems, but the wheat/chaff ratio is almost not worth bothering.

I just look for whatever has Pratt's name next to it anymore. His stuff's not perfect, but I can't stand the sloppy editing of most BE authors. Many can't get past the intro text without making an error, and that screams "this story is not worth my time."

They want to bring out something new every 10 days. Whether that's good for you or not, I don't know, but they are employing more artists and authors in an attempt to make that happen.

That would be very impressive, Lore. Are any of these new guys guys we've heard of before...?

I don't have any details on that unfortunately. They are using PortalComics a lot, and there isn't anything wrong with that. I hope they do get some new artists on board who are as good as PortalComics.

Re: BE Story Club Presents: Spells R Us #4
Well, it'd certainly be better if they had 3 stories a month/one every 10 days. Still, if you do the math it comes out to $8 per story which is kind of nuts in most cases. In comparison to other comics/stories/videos that have been done, anyway.
Still, it's better than nothing and it would most likely be worth subscribing every so often. We'll see how it goes. And I'm sure your story came out great Lorekeep! |
