Yes, the Japanese are doing some stem cell stuff... how that's going, I've no idea. It's one of those stories you'll hear repeated a few times but the amount of progress made is never really touched upon... are they in pre-clinical trials? Clinical? You never get these pertinent pieces of information, it seems.

On a semi-related note, I work for a college doing various tasks. And during one of those tasks, I ended up in a building that's pretty much devoted to animal science. There's a poster in one hall that's detailing the results of an experiment. Apparently there's a potential birth defect among mice that leads to insane mammary cell growth, to the point where the picture showing the difference has a normal mouse and one about twice as wide next to it.

Suffice to say, you never know when or where your closet hobby/fetish will kick you in the face. But it immediately made me wonder if medical trials had been undertaken to see how that works on humans, because they were artificially enducing it in the mice.

the milk thing suggested sounds dangerous, because that could lead to breast cancer. it leaves milk, producing cells in a frozen state and causes them to be more suceptable to cancer cells.

Typically Petra, you're looking at the better part of a decade before you get to jab someone with your secret boob enhancing serum... at least if you're a serious pharmaceutical company. If not, you're probably a mad scientist.

I had an idea that also used liposuction even though that idea seems to have been discarded. I heard that when someone gets liposuction but does not also go on a diet, the remaining fat, or the fat not sucked out, takes up the slack of the fat that was removed. Suppose that a woman had all the fat sucked out of her body except fro the fat in her breasts. If she then ate in such a way as to gain weight rapidly, the fat would be deposited in the only place where therew is fat left, her breasts. This process would result in "real" breasts as the breasts are only expanding due to weight gain and not some outside stimulation. However, there are some problems:

1: Fat is very difficult and dangerous to extract from certain body parts i.e. the neck

2: If the person develops an eating disorder, the breast expansion may not stop at a reasonable size and debilitate that person.

Just a thought.
