Re: YOKA KIDA - woman transformation on youtube
If it will save someone from being educated with the wrong term, I think so. Yokai here a form of Obake which means the "state of transformation". The reason I am so against using the term "goblin" is because these individual yokai these girls are becoming are too humanoid. This is in comparison to kappa which are more goblin in appearance. Although I cannot find an exact english word that can replace the word yokai I think "the supernatural" fits well enough as yokai can cover humans with special powers to ghosts to luck charms.

Then *you* educate them with *your* own post. I mean, mod-editing someone else's post should be reserved for editing out malicious links or advertising spam or racial slurs, not for using the wrong term from the dictionary. Do you mod-edit "you're" in when they should have put "your", too?

Re: YOKA KIDA - woman transformation on youtube
Well, again, then *you* correct it in *your* post. Editing other poster's words like they're wikipedia entries isn't- shouldn't- be what being a mod is about.
What I want to say- accurate or not- should remain what I wanted to say. I mean, I'm glad to know the correct term now, and I'll use it from here on out if it comes up, but it really feels like a line of propriety has been crossed here. |
