Re: are you a heavy reader?

I read when I find a good book. I haven't searched out books in a while though. I used to jsut go into the school library and look up random search words and find a book that looked good. That's how I found Dragon Sword and Wind Child, by Ogiwara Noriko. Not only was it a great book (I ended up buying it after the reprint came out), but it renewed my love of writing, and got me to start working on my own book again (I had stopped for a couple years). Another book that read, and ended up buying was Song in the Silence, by Elizabeth Kerner, and the 2 following books: The Lesser Kindred, and Redeeming the Lost. All amazing books. But like I said, I don't do as much random booking... I do however search out various Manga whenever I'm downtown near the local Borders. Other then that, I get my fill of good stories from various Anime that I've found, and games like the Soul Reaver games, Devil May Cry3, Phantom Dust. All those have great stories attached. Good anime include Hell girl (NOT affiliated in ANY way with the Hellboy movies/comics), Death Note was a better read than a watch, Utawarerumono, When They Cry - Higurashi, Paranoia Agent, and a couple others. Good Movies also help me get my story fix, like Appleseed (CG version), The Last Samurai, A Beautiful Mind, Etc.

Since I discovered good movies, anime, and games with good plot/story to them, I've jsut read less books. But to me its all the same, whether you get the story from a book, game, or TV, a good story, is a good story. Oh! I almost forgot one of my favorites! XD Final Fantasy VIII (8)

Re: are you a heavy reader?

I felt that way too abotu Manga, untill I found good manga worth rereading and such. I ended up buying Death Note and Chobits. Dragon Sword and Wind Child is a Japanese book with an english translation that was here in the states for a while, then that one when out of print when the reprint came out. The reprint isn't exactly the same. A few phrases were changed and it seems a little rush at parts, but it's still a great book.

Re: are you a heavy reader?

Depends. Recently I've been reading pretty heavily, but generally I don't have a lot of time that I can spend reading. I guess it comes and goes.

Re: are you a heavy reader?

I read constantly. Mostly comic books, since I can devour those in bite-sized chunks. Novels require more of a time commitment, so I tend to put them off indefinitely.
