Disney's Weird Editing

Anyone have any idea what's with Disney's weird editing of shows that they used to show on ABC Family and movies that are not theirs. I mean, back when they showed Boy Meets World (I miss that show so much) in the episode where Cory and Topenga get married they edited out the line "Run like hell!" and in Spy Kids 3 Game Over they edited out the line "And in Metriod it's just molten magma." Anyone have any explanations for that?

The line in Boy meets world probably dealt with FCC guidelines.

the metroid line , they might not have bought the rights to use the name. The same reason that soundtracks sometime get changed when a movie goes to tv.

I have yet to enjoy any Digimon dub done after Disney bought out Saban in 2002.

I'm still infuriated over the way Cartoon Network butchered Superman: Doomsday. Jesus Christ, Justice League could get nearly as intense at times (just without the blood) and it aired with a TV-Y7FV. And CN still had the gall to have their hackjob rated TV-PG DSV, as if suggesting the movie was almost uncut when it really wasn't.

Why the hell didn't they just have Adult Swim run the movie? So much was edited out of the Doomsday and Clone Superman fights that they didn't make sense.

Hmm.. assuming the people at Disney responsible for editing these things aren't already aware of the Transformation Fetish, do you think they'd go back and edit shows like Aladin and Gargoyles after discovering it?
