Re: Tf News
I think there is an additional dimension to this that a lot of people are missing. Female TF fans are generally fans of sexually explicit material. If the people he's been associated with in the past (like Lizardman) are any indication, Dragonaide doesn't like sexually explicit TF work. I won't bother to speculate on his reasons, but I do know that a lot of the people who don't like erotic TF work consider it to be destroying the fandom and driving away those scared off by erotic material.
This means that in their minds, The Process and all its denizens are destroying the fandom and popular erotic TF artists are destroying the fandom. Therefore, they are doing something bad and worthy of contempt. Arania is a particularly big target for them not just because she's a very popular artist who does erotic work. I think the bigger issue is that much of her work is considered to be of mediocre quality and she gets a lot of *paid commissions* for it. That really sticks in the craw of a guy who complains that his own site isn't getting enough donations. I don't know that I've ever seen Dragonaide interested in erotic male TF stuff as some have claimed here. Most of the material I've seen him display are commissions of the dragon version of himself. Some of it is unintentionally suggestive, but the rest looks more like self-aggrandizement fantasies than erotica. |

Re: Tf News
I hardly think the gender of your interest determines how you like the material. I do not think anyone claimed the art he is interested in is erotic. It also comes down to what defines something as erotic. If there is sexual imagery in it, nudity, or even the subject of TF in itself. Not that we can negotiate this.

I guess I misinterpreted the comment about male TF. "Promotes objectification/dehumanization of women" is used most often to criticize pornography. I guess I misread "dehumanization of males" as a counter-accusation. Sorry. Last edited by Drachen; 10-05-2008 at 10:39 AM. Reason: clarity/grammar |

Re: Tf News
Stonegate used to have fiction on his site a long while back- it was good until it became all clips of stuff.
I have to disagree that this age of online is better than before- the the golden years there was more freedom, with a capital free.

You and I might be "Process trolls" but these days everyone and their in law is a troll,so big deal. He's not to easy to get along with but basically he hates it when the Process method is used to create pornographic smut of the female form. |
