I was thinking about a rental for the character creation option - but I'll probably just wait and buy it used. As I understand it, it's purely a cosmetic change - you just pick an existing fight style and design a character around it - but how much flexibility is outfits/bodies is there actually?

Another I've been thinking about picking up for a long time - the graphics look great with a lot of potential, but the gameplay (in the demo) feels like ass - is Rumble Roses XX. It looks like there are a lot of body/costume modification options there - mostly sliders - but I'm not into "real" wrestling games - compared to "normal" fighting games. There is the added potential of "photo-taking snapshot/pose sessions" - although I don't know how you'd get them off the xbox and onto your PC unless they were saved outside the game save on the HD.

Could you maybe post a screenshot or two please?

Oh! if you have visualboy advance, you can have a save file that you load from the file menu
And I should mention, some characters have... altered texts, that is, what they say isn't what they usually say lol

I own both games and Soul Caliber 4 is one of my all time favorites but I found it's custom character mode to be lacking. You can do some body modification including bust size for females, but it's rather limited. Clothing dose more then in most games. It adjusts your HP, Attack, defense, ans SC gauge as well as your points to use on the rather limited selection of custom skills. But the available selection of clothing peaces seems sparse compared to Soul Caliber 3's.

In Rumble Roses XX you can do body mods as well but the effects on the models can be quite pore at times. And the Bust size adjustment makes barley any noticeable change at all. All the costumes must be purchased in sets with your in game winnings and it takes nearly forever to purchase every costume for each girl. With that many of the costumes can not be mix and matched only altered in color. I got this game as part of a promotional bundle when I bought my Xbox, and I have to say that it fails in just about every way don't bother with it unless you are into female body building or repetitive game play

Re: BE on videogames

For Shenaynay222's saving problem:

I can help you there. In the Options menu of the Visual Boy program, open the Emulator menu and change the "Save Type" to "Flash 128 KB". Then click the "Real Time Clock" selection in the menu and reset the game. The game will save when you do this.

Thanks for the descriptions/info.

Oh well, just got it for $12 used on amazon. Probably won't mess around too much until the holidays (too busy with F3 and SR2 - and need to pick up the new Prince of Persia).

I used a program called unLZ GBA, you have to locate the sprites(which is the hardest part, but then they are generally all together), and then save them and upload them on an image editor(paint will work, using the eyedropper), then import the new sprite to unLZ GBA, click write to rom, and then its on, i suggest leaving on the option "abort if file size is larger" because if not, and the size is bigger, the sprite will be a black box.
If you don't understand that, there are many helpful vids on youtube

Do you think it would be asking too much to share some pictures? Perhaps a copy of the file as well if it isn't too much trouble?
