Julie Sweet Cherry Blossoms [Fox Girl][TF]

Julie Sweet Cherry Blossoms was my newest art project, which involves a Fox Girl in my most beloved storyline System Outcast. Everything was drawl by hand in a clean cut, Anime Style in Adobe Illustrator CS3, Digital Art formula. The development of this peace took about three weeks, putting in about three hours a day, seven days a week tell completion. The art style changed drastically from hour and day to day. I completed the project with touch up?s in Photoshop 7.0 and added a Cherry Blossom tree background. Border and text is made of Red Cherry Wood. The design of the weapon in the background was completed as a different project and added into this peach after it was redone and redesigned from screech over three times before I was happy with it?s look. Unlike past pictures I used zero Gradients and did self-shading and cooler blending. I'm going to show some of the steps behind this project so peolpe get a good idea of how much work was put into it.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4

step 5

Yeah, more like a how-to, honestly.

It's...cute but yeah, not exactly transformation process.

True the process is not shown here sorry if I put it in the wrong place. However the story does involve AR and TF, I just did'nt show the process in the art. This was kind of a after the fact picture I suppose. Administrators can put this in the everything else part of the forum if they what to. Thanks for the above complements.

Facial features look off center and makes the face look mis-shapened.

Also, too much of a reliance on filters instead of actual detail.

Your pride becomes misplaced due to the attempt to mask flaws with filters instead of improving the art without filters....and only using them sparingly to add a special touch.

In other words: Try focussing on getting the details better, and add filters after the work itself is already good.

Re: Julie Sweet Cherry Blossoms [Fox Girl][TF]

I respect and thank some of you for the Critique, however I never placed my pride wrongly. There was a loud of hand drawl work placed into this picture, something I remain quaint proud of. Using filters, styles and other parts of Photoshop does not make a image any less difficult or nice looking of a picture.

In the end I never claimed I was the best artist ever. It is a different style of art drawl by Pen Tablet in a clean-cut program. It was meant to be simple in detail in the first place. This is why it's called Vector Art or Digital art after all.

Not everyone can do drawling by hand. Not every step of how the picture was done was included and I have come a long ways in the last year.

I do think I over did the style on the shirt, and yes I agree the background can look better. Think I’ll try doing the grass by hand rather then by Brush next time. I don't agree the face looks miss placed however. It is an Anime styled face. Anime faces are over exaggerated in fatness in the faces of children. Also keep in mind one third of the face was cut off in the picture on porpoise. Can you go into more detail about what you think was wrong with the face?

You are the only person that posted I fill was over harsh in there words. There was a butt loud of work done by my hands thank you very much. The way you posted this came off as argent of anyone else's progress. I don't see Flaws in the art begin hidden by filters so I can't but disagree. Did I miss use some styles or filters? Might have. I happen to love the picture before the Photoshop touch up.

I find it funny how the lurkers who don't show off there art or even do art and post little to nothing like your self are always the once who go over bored in there review. I by no means have a fails sense of pride and anyone else who does a review is kind of expected to say something positive along with the negative.

Not everyone can do a Mona Lisa on his or her first try after all. In the end I understand some of what you’re saying but I disagree with the way you posted. It came off as rude where no one else here, rather negative or positive came off as rude. I've put a lot of work into this picture for the last three weeks. It takes me time to figure stuff out but post like this keep people from posting there art or even wishing to start doing art. Just remember it was meant to be done for fun. I came out of this learning stuff, hope to get better at doing it. For me this was huge progress from a story I've been writing sense childhood. For me seeing the charter take shape and get better over the years even slowly breaks me great joy.

Once again thanks a lot for the comments above. If anything I what to learn to shade and shadow the Picture better, so if anyone has a good tutorial on this stuff fill free to post them here for me.
