Re: "Bitches" Werewolf TV series

[QUOTE=Magugag;260724]

I'm honestly hoping they go with the American Werewolf style werewolves, which is to say the more monstrous route,

Lets see
AWIL's "Hound From Hell X Petticoat Junction( a 1960's comedy associated
with Gomer Pyle,Mayberry,Hooterville,etc

<The camera pans along the Junctions railway platform
off in the distance we hear the train chugging in>

<camera sweeps along to the clothesline hanging off the Junction
porch post.Music-the 1960's theme song>

<camera slowly zooms in as it sweeps along the clothesline, showing 4 frilly
petticoats hanging from the line.As each petticoat sweeps by a bright
blue eyed country lass pops up behind it>

<the camera comes to petticoat 4.Suddenly blood splatters on the
petticoat, a beheaded torso plops to the ground beneath the camera
POV and the "Hound from Hell" sticks her head above the clothesline,
chewing on a bloody beating heart>

<the theme music fades away,to be replaced with blood curdling howls.
As the camera zooms out we see the 3 beauties behind the other 3
petticoats have been replaced with 3 snarling Hounds From Hell as well.

<Switch to the Hotel reception desk scene as Ma
greets a new victim into the hotel for this weeks episode>

The Charmed one was worse in every conceivable fashion, and that's DAMN bad. I'm not a fan of the show as is, and that TF didn't make me a believe. Even the Darkwolf TFs didn't exude that much suck. Haven't seen many of the Buffy ones, though the one in Angel was decent... you know. Decent... ish?

I'm certain though that the werewolf TFs in 'Bitches' will either be off-screen affairs where maybe we hear something of the TF, see some eyes glow or it switches to a different scene, or something slightly decent. I mean, if the whole series is going to focus on werewolves, the transformation seems like something they'd at least want to make an effort at.

Dougherty seems to have some interest in werewolves, after all, since he not only did a werewolf segment in Trick 'R Treat (which looks like it may be skin rippage... slightly depressing if true) and is now trying to get a show revolving around female werewolves having sex and eating people. Maybe he doesn't have quite our interest, but perhaps it wouldn't be too bad to have some faith that he wants to do werewolves at least a little bit of justice?

That or do his own twist... Like sparkling vamps in Twilight...

Oh, and morwalugi... What the heck are you talking about? I can normally grasp incoherent points, but that either lacked a point or was exceptionally incoherent.

You only think you did, if you really did you could translate it for the rest of us.

Bah. Ya called my bluff
Here's my best guesses:

Loose translation (1st post): "We don't know TF stories because our fixation on the TF itself causes us to neglect plot."

Loose translation (2nd post): "I like this kind of TF (monstrous)" - and then went on to describe a sample, storyboard style.

Re: "Bitches" Werewolf TV series

Actually the 2nd post had to do with someones expressed desire to see a American Werewolf... type critter

plugged into this

"?It?s about four women? It?s very funny.?
...mix of humor and horror"

What I described(sans werewolves, blood, etc) was the openning scene of
a 1960's series called "Petticoat Junction"(at least as I remembered it)
then adding AWIL's beasty.

Though the Hannibal the Cannibal wannabes will probably be the
most devoted viewers of "American Werewolves in Petticoat Junction"
I doubt mainstream America would go for a AWIL monster in a series
supposed to include humour, not unless the horror is implied, rather than
shown in all its gory detail.

Re: "Bitches" Werewolf TV series

I can expect cheap or cut up transformations... mainly because of the gross factor that the majority of common Americans feel about a person gruesomely becoming a creature (which is why you see a lot of poof transformations these days).

Which I find really funny, because they can watch a movie about a person tearing another individual apart by stretching or a Ginormous-reversed mechanism-bear trap, but can't bear to watch a person simply change species.

Irony isn't it?

Re: "Bitches" Werewolf TV series

Watch this show suck big ass. It's fox. They haven't had a good show since Married With Children. Why doesn't sci-fi build a series? I mean, hell, outer limits had some CRAZY shit, so why not just do a werewolf series? *hugs outer limits box set* =) And yes, I don't care who made outer limits... but where are they now?

And, why not a damn zombie show???? People trying to survive in every ep, more and more cast members disappearing at the hands of a horde of zombies? WTF, do I have to run hollywood? =D

Wow. So you're completely discounting Arrested Development, Futurama, Firefly, Wonderfalls, House, Terminator, Malcolm in the Middle, and the first season of 24?

Not even I'm that cynical.
