Yeah, it's kinda a frustrating call. On the one hand there are almost never any insect-related TFs - especially vermin like cockroaches....and it's done in a kinda original way....but at the same time, the peeling skin/breaking bones - is more than a little disturbing - and not a "fun" tf in that sense.

My stumble upon brought me to the top ten freddy kills and this one was there. I thought about posting it here but it is kinda graphic, but everyone has their own preferences as far as tf goes.

On a side note, since this is freddy's work the tf obviously occurs in a dream, but since the effects of the dream take place in real life, does she spontaneously morph into a cockroach in her sleep?

I think only the damage suffered during the dream manifests in the victim's body. Had that included the skin ripping and limbs breaking off, she'd have died in her sleep before the transformation finished. So my take on it is that she would have just spontaneously been crushed into a pulp by a giant invisible hand in real life at the moment Freddy crushed the roach version in the dream.

At least for her, I would have enjoyed her being alive but roached.
Maybe have er friend crush her when coming to the rescue.

As far as I remember, and remember that I haven?t seen a Freddy Movie for over 5 years(Freddy vs Jason excluded), Freddy was NOT able to do harm in the real world. However he could kill them in their dreams which resulted in their deaths in the real world. Ergo the TF would have only happend in her dream.

PS: Still can?t see how that is "hot".

Looking at this, it really goes to show that, if Freddy was omnipotent both inside and outside dreams to this extent, just what he could do.

And agreed, if she had been turned into a cockroach outside of her dream, that was actually kind of Freddy to kill her rather then spend the rest of her life being mated by male cockroaches... however long a cockroach lives

As non-CG tfs go, that is one of the most well pulled-off in cinema history. Just because it isn't sexy, doesn't mean it's not impressive. Not all TFs cater to a fetish.

The thing is when he killed someone in their dream they didn't just die in the real world, they died horrible unexplainable deaths. Torn to shreds in the dream, and they'd be torn to shreds in real life, blood and guts everywhere. I think I even recall instances when someone wasn't outright killed but still woke up injured from the dream.

Sexy is in the eye of the beholder, that's something people aren't getting. Not everyone likes the same kinds of TFs obviously, and you seem to be unaware that everything is a fetish to someone. She sweats, struggles, screams, grunts and moans throughout it as she is transformed against her will into a horrible creature. She is also caught in a sticky trap, so in some ways it's also a bondage scene. You may not be aware of it, but women caught in sticky goo is a fetish in and of itself (like I said earlier everything is a fetish to someone). The scene is actually full of fetish material from TF to bondage, rape (metaphorically and metamorphically that is, it's against her will after all) and even light gore and implied death (snuff), now while not all of those interest me (the death part in particular) they are none the less fetishes.

I hope that shed some light on it for those of you who couldn't comprehend how it could be hot.
