How can any of those people be Darwin award finalists? None of them died. Hell, they wouldn't even get honourable mentions.

Regardless, while I consider Sarah Palin a joke in herself, I don't find anything Letterman has ever said about her funny. That's because I don't consider anything Letterman has ever said to be remotely humourous.

I have always liked Letterman. I think he's very funny.

But I am not a religious viewer.

Lesson of the day: humor is a personal thing.

Oh, that's true to a large extent. A lot of humor is built on practical type jokes that are funnier if you are not the victim. Sometimes, though, you can even laugh at your own falls and stumbles. And other times, you feel for the person hurt, like in the clips you linked. Maybe it's because I'm really tired today though? But a lot of it is in the execution, the delivery, the timing.

And it's still a personal thing.
