But you made it sound like you were belittling him.

That's not giving two cents, that's throwing pocket lint in his face. You don't just plain tell a person that someone is better than them, that's very inconsiderate. What you could've said was:

"Wolfman's style is good and I like it, I also think these guys are great. =D *puts link to pages*"
