Re: What Would Be Your Perfect BE Game
I'd say a mini-game fest that features games that make you do different processes.

@coramorgana: Awesome game and great art, could be a lot of fun. This shows what a basic platformer might be like. Thanks for posting it! ![]() |

Personally, I'd love to see something along the lines of Princess Maker - a trainer, where she can take classes and work jobs for skills; build stats/figure/bustline with items purchased or won; and can go on mini adventures to battle creatures for cash/xp/more items of BE goodness.

Re: What Would Be Your Perfect BE Game
Consider the impact of a little game series named "Oppai Slider," or "Virtual Girl." The actually game-play is severely limited. There's no real action at all. The fact that the girls can be customized and have their sizes changed is that much more important than being able to do much of anything with them.

Re: What Would Be Your Perfect BE Game
Yeah, boobs in a plot of some kind impress me more. Like, if there's a good storyline in it, I wanna see the struggles of the now bustier with outfits and doors and reaching things in front of them..
(And it better include this in super huge sizes too, cause if they're being minorly bugged by mere head sized ones or something it just seems kinda silly) |

Re: What Would Be Your Perfect BE Game
Interesting stuff, this... For as long as I've followed this forum people have occasionally been posting process-related game threads, but this is the first time I've seen one so explicitly focused on design concepts. Nifty concept, that.
On the idea of a roguelike: Interesting! While this option probably has the least potential for *ahem* interesting *ahem* art, the tendency for such games to focus on the minutae of interations with the environment could potentially lead to some very interesting gameplay. Very few other game genres allow the possibility of having to find a way to squeeze through 'normal' sized doorways. I've actually thought about this concept before. Rather than a combat-focused game, I thought it'd be kind of cool if you replace the ol' hit points with concerns about mobility, and fitting through doors. Of course, it's not really a dungeon crawl at that point... but heck, dungeons are just one of the many settings for the fetish to take place in. BE roguelike: Escape the shopping mall! On a Princess-maker-type-game: Yeah, something like the various personal life sims on the market would be interesting, if done well. The issue I find is that the fetish might be hard to adapt. For example, if the game took place over a long period of time, then the process would either be gradual or rapid but rare. In either case, unless the rest of the game was interesting in its own right, it'd be easy to get distracted. It'd also be less suitable as fap material - if you're into instant gratification, at least. I am. On the plus side, it's possibly the only genre that would really allow for the long-term effects of BE to be explored. Game options on how to spend time would really change as time went on. On a simulation game: One of the issues with both the above genres is that the oplayer character tends to be the focus. While this isn't a problem in itself, one of the reasons to play a BE game is for some control over the process. Speaking generally, I imagine that for those that like rapid process, quantity could make up for quality. Here's a hypothetical concept. Imagine a self-running simulation, a game somewhat simpler than dwarf fortress and more complex than the Sims. In this simulation, NPCs act according to their own little AIs, following their own little simulated lives. Into this situation, insert the player character. With a BE gun, or some other deus ex machina. Let them roam free. Let the changes they make have repercussions - let BE'd girls get wheelbarrows, or hide from the public eye, or proudly start a collective, or whatever. Let the player persuade people to do things - not necessarily to follow, but to have influence on what people do. Let the happy society that existed be changed by the players actions - maybe in a small way, or maybe by having the entire civilisation turned upside down when half the population can't stand reliably. With a sufficiently complex simulation to begin with, a player could do the thing that's fun in any simulation: Try something and see what happens as a result. Of course, BE is a complex fiction, and it'd be hard to work out a simulation comlicated enough and have graphics and whatnot to support it. Still, it could be awesome. I've other ideas, but I must go, now. Ah, well. |

Re: What Would Be Your Perfect BE Game
I came up with the story I'd like.
Its Process High! A high-school dedicated to the teachings of various processes and the mastery of them through spells, super science, and wacky stuff. You are a new student in school (male or female depending on what you choose) who is quickly becoming popular to all the teachers. However, there's one straight A student, who excels in processes on herself and others, who was very cocky in her process arts, often performing them on other students. You are challenged by her and others to Process-Athlon! You must compete in various events (like the Titty Fairy catch, or Belly Stuffing Eat Off) and beat that notorious student at her own games. |

Re: What Would Be Your Perfect BE Game
Hmm... this 'Process High' concept has some potential, I think.
The mostly-social context means that there's plenty of room for the social ramifications of process to be explored. Plus, I could see some quite interesting game play possibilities while searching for 'cures' to particularly debilitating effects that could make the game a little less linear than might otherwise occur. The high-school background means that 'bad-end' scenarioes can be experimented with without being 'game over' situations. Indeed, they could be an important part of the plot and/or strategy. The limited environment of a high school could really help with the possibility of having a small number of well-developed (no pun intended) characters, which would be valuable for any strong storyline. There are really only two potential concerns I'd have about the idea. The first is that it could seem limited and highly linear if prepared as written. It sounds like a series of minigames with a plot. Now, I don't mean to dismiss minigames: I believe that the only difference between a well-designed minigame and a well-designed game is the scale. But if the subgames appear too disconnected and different from one another, switching between them can seem jarring and artificial, and knock the player out of enjoying the game's plot and world. Fortunately, it's easy enough to avoid the problem. For example, just devise events such that the events in one game mode provide bonuses and penalties that carry over to the others, like in PuzzleQuerst or the Total War series. My second concern is that while including a variety of processes increases the variety of play, it could be a bit of a turn-off for players with less broad interests than others. Again, this is easy to fix - just make processes optional, maybe making compulsury any too plot-crucial to avoid. Pokerus, I think your idea has potential. Please elaborate on it - I'm sure there's a dozen lurkers wanting to hear more. Co-incidentally, if the player character can be male, it may be advisable to put the TG process into the game. It's not everyone's kettle of fish, but on the other hand, one could say the same about almost anything. Oh, and I reckon this idea could work well if combined with the 'Princess Maker' concept, so that between plot events the player character could prepare (or relax) by improving their abilities - or just putting them into practice on members of the student body. Practice makes perfect, they say, and it could help reinforce the 'high school' setting by having attending class be part of gameplay, as well as part of the plot. |
