He did act inappropriately but I don't believe there was any real malice behind it. The guy was seriously just a big kid. Seen his house? His house was every 10 year old boy's dream. It's understandable why this was, he was living the childhood he never got to have which I do sympathize with.

There was an interview with him where he looked at some kids playing baseball across the street and basically said he'd give everything he had to be able to go over there and join in.

The question is simple.

Would you have let your young son spend the night in MJ's bed?

One can bend over backwards to attempt some form of cleansing of MJ's motives, but the moment common sense comes up, the whole thing falls to bits.

Honestly, the biggest issue we face is the death of common sense. You CAN logically defend Marxism, Nazism, Capitalism and every other “Ism” out there. One can logically argue “Free Healthcare” or retaining the system we have. HOWEVER, having so called Representatives tell us that it is “Silly” to expect them read the bills they vote on…This defies any sense of logic.

As a rabid Libertarian, I do not like President Obama but I do not “Hate” him either. He can live for another 100 yrs or die screaming 5 mins from now. I simply do not care enough about him to worry one way or the other about the man on a personal level. He is, when all is said and done, just another happy azz politicians who will say whatever it takes to get the votes and keep his gig. I have said the same of President Bush and every other President in my lifetime.

Not exactly a fair question. Can you think of any grown man you'd allow your young son to spend the night with? Doesn't mean they're all rapists.

I don't think all men are thieves but I still wouldn't pass around a winning lottery ticket for everyone to see.

But that IS the "Fair Question". Saying "He is special" or "He is an artist" or "He is probably just ok." is silly. 2+2 =4. If you deny that, how is that different from denying that MJ was a little sicko with serious issues? If you would not allow your 5 year old son to sleep with ANY 40-50 year old non related male, then be fair and say what he did was just flat out crappy.

And yes, I am a Libertarian verging on Anarchy. I do not trust ANYONE who actually WANTS power.

I didn't deny it was the wrong thing to do but I believe it's important to understand WHY he did it rather than just blindly slap labels on people. After all, that is what libertarianism is all about, treating people as the individuals they are.

Oh if you think I would take the time to hunt him down (were he still alive) you have mistaken how lazy I am when it comes to combat. My point is that defending his actions make me snicker.

All that aside, I would take anything that comes out of Mediamatters with a huge grain of salt. They are funded by George Soros and are beholden to his point of view.

I tend to read EVERYTHING. Left, Right and what little "Center" is out there. I do not trust most of what I read and am old enough to recall when news was NEWS and not opinion posing as news.

Watching commentators, for me, is like watching circus clowns. Be it Rush or Olbermann, they dance about like buffoons and rant like children to support their side of things. I learned long ago, only one "Side" really matters to me and that is MINE. *grin*

If what I “Know” is challenged by factual evidence that holds up to rigorous scrutiny, I have no choice but to reconsider my position. This seems to be all too rare these days.

You must have been watching in those grand days of "never happened." News has always had opinion, back to its origins in the country. Hell, Ben Franklin made Glenn Beck look like Mr. Rogers. That's why I tend to keep a steady eye on all political news.
