Y'know, it occurs to me that a decent BE game could be made using Inform 7. It seems to be able to support a fair few of the features mentioned above.
Of course, text-based games tend to be a little light-on in the art department. Then again, if you can read a normal BE story you should be able to read an interactive one. |

I'd be happy to come up with whatever for an rpg as a writer of sorts. Currently I'm trying to structure some kind of choose your own adventure, but obviously it'd be text based as that is my force.

Hmm text-based is intriguing. I would play/read them - however I don't find myself running to the overflowingbra mud all the time either so maybe not. I think most would agree perfect artwork would be in their perfect game.
But perhaps for some people, text - or their imagination - is the perfect artwork. ![]() |
