It's not like I hate them, but it's more like I'm watching ghosts or insects.

The eyes are like that to re-iterate the fact that she is an artificial creation. You never see expressionate eyes on clay/rock/lead/iron golems from a D&D gamebook or any other fantasy game. Golems don't have expressionate eyes.

If it is expressionless you are going for, you can try drawing the eye normally but the pupil will be without the iris. I would rather you have a pupil, but it is up to you. Also there will be a lack of shine. Give a lighter color than just black for the pupil and a lighter color for what should be the white of the eye, and you should be a bit better. She still will be emotionless, but also stay consistant with what you are going for.

BTW, she isn't a golem is she?

And you're right, I should add some gloss to to periphary of the eyes to give it some shape.
